A stable and scalable backup solution that has a good recovery data backup feature
It is used both as a virtual server and a physical server for enterprise backup that run different applications Recovery of backup data is the most valuable feature. The pricing model could be improved. It can be made cheaper. Also, Veeam should provide more training for the partners so that…

It's a user-friendly solution that helps us migrate our customers from their local servers
When you finish a project, the client should have the opportunity to browse the files rather than simply ending the contract. Also, it's not possible to recover earlier versions. It should be possible to have a database for recovering files after you finish a contract. There's no solution for this from Veritas. The clients pay annually for the product, but when they decide to cancel the contract after five or six years, how do they get older versions of their data? Veritas only offers a snapshot of the last backup. They also no longer offer the Veritas for Microsoft 365 solution in Brazil. We have to find another solution for 365 at the end of the year, so we are going with N-Able.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is the integration. Another good feature is the instant recovery."
"The initial setup was very easy."
"Veeam Cloud Connect has helped us to reduce the cost of cloud storage for an offsite solution using their archive storage feature."
"It is a rock-solid backup solution. That's all, and that's what we were asking for."
"This product is user-friendly. The interface is easy to use."
"No problems with stability."
"It helps with process restoration. With Veeam, we never had backup or restoration issues."
"The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup Replication is application awareness. Additionally, the solution is user-friendly and it has been working very well."
"The solution is stable; I haven't experienced any bugs or glitches on it."
"The most valuable feature is that it is simple to use."
"It's a good solution. It's pretty stable."
"The most valuable features are the ease of administration and the ease of configuration."
"It's very comprehensive. It's one of the first brands to appear in its field."
"he most valuable feature is that it's not so intrusive with computer resources."
"I think the most important feature is the ability of SaaS Backup to cover all modules proposed by Office 365, because competing solutions don't cover the total scope."
"We're comfortable using this kind of technology. It's user-friendly."

Cons

"I don't see much room for improvement except that the price could be better."
"The price could be lower."
"The initial setup can get complex."
"When you have some small issues, you should be able to go through it by yourself and solve the issue instead of opening the ticket and waiting for the engineers to troubleshoot."
"I would prefer it if the backup console did not require use of a specified program but rather that it could be opened from any website."
"Could be improved with hybrid cloud integration backup."
"It would be ideal if users could know that their data is backed up and have some security functionality where you can actually use the backup to spin up a new cluster and take it from there."
"I think that Veeam could improve some performance issues when the backup itself is restored. I'm also using HPE StoreOnce, which has deduplication, and when I'm trying to test or run backups, it takes a lot of time. I think they could improve the testing for backup copies."
"An area for improvement is the product's performance, especially how long it takes to do a job."
"The usability of the solution isn't the best."
"Licensing has been a struggle. It went from bronze, silver to gold. Licensing needs more sophistication. It has features that are sold as separate add-ons."
"The go-between is a Veritas partner, so the customer support was not that good. The solution is fine except when there is a purchasing crisis where you have to remake the ecosystem. It causes a lot of issues. The support was a problem, but we're okay with it as long as we have someone to communicate with."
"Currently, it isn't possible to use anything other than Veritas cloud to back up to. I think today it's important to cover the three major cloud provider: GCP, Azure and AWS."
"Technical support can be improved."
"The solution does lack a lot of features, and we're considering switching."
"When you finish a project, the client should have the opportunity to browse the files rather than simply ending the contract. Also, it's not possible to recover earlier versions. It should be possible to have a database for recovering files after you finish a contract. There's no solution for this from Veritas."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"They have a free edition that can back up up to 10 VMs or physical servers. Small and medium businesses can use this edition until they can afford to get a license, and after they get a license, they just activate it on the same console. That's the amazing thing about it."
"The product is competitively priced."
"The price is a bit high. Licensing type is VMware friendly, so it is easy."
"It is more cost-effective than some of the other solutions, but a lot of that comes down to the fact that we're a reseller. So, depending upon the deal, we do negotiate different price points for different customers. The price varies depending upon the size of the customer, the size of the deal, and the discounts we can negotiate."
"It is highly cost-effective when compared to other solutions."
"It is approximately $4,000 to $5,000 for the purchase of the product and I paid an additional $2,000 for the renewal."
"I would suggest to others that they buy the full license when purchasing this solution."
"We are fine with its pricing policy."
"This solution is not cheap and not expensive but priced in the mid-range."
"I would rate this solution's pricing as five out of five."
"SaaS Backup isn't the most expensive solution."
"The program is quite expensive."
