We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The development of the company from Automation Anywhere V11 to a2019 was valuable. I found many important and new features, like changing the way we write code and programming. It became much easier and very flexible in version 2019A. It became very easy to use and the recording was also good. Excel became very good too.""The turnaround time of building bots is quick. We are deploying around four bots per month. The turnaround time to get a design, build, and deploy is very fast. This is very good for us. It has helped us out when scaling up in a better manner.""From a developer perspective, the user interface is user-friendly and easy to use.""We are making less mistakes and have more metrics available to understand what our problems are. Now, we can do root cause analysis and have less noise in the system during the process.""It has improved a lot. We could identify a lot of manual processes that can be automated for our customers. The scope of automation by using Automation Anywhere has become wonderful. IQ Bot and AI sense are the incredible features provided.""One of the most valuable features is IQ Bot. If you compare Automation Anywhere with any of the other organizations, we may get same type of RPA solution, as there are multiple organizations. But, IQ Bot was one of the primary reasons to choose Automation Anywhere. Using IQ Bot, we can extract more data out from the documents that are unstructured. Therefore, we need to do two things at the same time: We need to extract the information from image-based documents We need to make sure that the efficiency and accuracy of the extraction is improving with each extraction.""This most valuable features of this solution are the drag-and-drop interface, and it is easy to code.""There is one user registration process in one application where there is no API which has been published by that framework. This is a very proprietary in one application by a third-party. So, there was a help desk, and whenever a call went to the help desk, they had a front-end where they created these user registrations. Now, this is completely automated for all employees who are onboarded. We receive the data, it is put it into Excel, and from Excel, it will update it into the particular tool where the registration happens."

"The Action Packs are a good feature.""The most valuable feature of Automic Automation Intelligence is the ability to see all of the batches from one place. Additionally, there is a multiple scheduler that is useful.""The tool's online manuals and documentation are good. Its user interface is user-friendly."

Cons
"The Recorder action in the A2019 Community edition is not supported.""I have noticed that after the bots have been delivered to run in a production environment, there are issues in terms of quality and performance.""When I change the name of a variable in the Variable Manager, I would really like it to change in the code.""Companies need to better justify the ROI before usage - otherwise, they might spend money on things unnecessarily.""The installation piece was sort of complicated because we are new to the business. We are new to installing Automation Anywhere services and the services that they are providing. So, we are sort of expected some kind of installation engineer to come onto our premises and provide the support, rather than remotely.""Right now, we are using a VM with Automation Anywhere installed inside it, but it would be nice if the solution could be used on macOS.""One of the important drawbacks of Automation Anywhere is that it needs to be able to show the automated process as a single flowchart.""There should be a meeting between the Automation Anywhere team and the end-users to understand whether the process can be made to work on the first attempt."

"The solution could benefit by having more connectors and customized widgets. Additionally, a dashboard that people could use for videos would be helpful.""The job reporting feature needs improvement.""Integration of the solution could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."

  • "The price of Automic Automation Intelligence depends on the connectors used. For example, if you wanted to connect to Dell BMC, you would need a connector."
  • "Automic Automation Intelligence's licensing costs are expensive and can be yearly or monthly."
