We performed a comparison between Check Point Harmony Endpoint and Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business based on our users’ reviews in five categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison Results: Check Point Harmony is the winner in this comparison. It is a powerful and flexible solution that is easy to deploy. Kaspersky does come out on top in the pricing category, however.
"The stability is very good."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors"
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."
"The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls."
"The product's initial setup phase is very easy."
"The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other."
"The platform's most valuable features are the ability to build API, which meets our business requirements, and the VPN client, which provides VPN access from a single client."
"In terms of network usage, it actually reduced the amount of malicious attacks that we had. Before, we really didn't have a secure network. Each endpoint had to protect itself and probably most of them were not actually protected. Now, it's an entire process in which we've been able to cut down significantly the amount of malicious attacks by 60 percent that we get in the organization. It helps us to adequately monitor what has been going on with our network traffic and stopping individual attacks from accessing certain sites where we want to have restrictions or limitations."
"The most valuable feature is Harmony Endpoint's encapsulation system which captures the whole system and protects it against other functions. It is really good for the Check Point Harmony specialists."
"The product is stable."
"We're able to secure all endpoints and manage them from a single console."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The initial setup is very easy."
"There's the possibility of being able to do the administration from the Check Point portal, maintaining control and visibility of the different security events at all times."
"The solution is very easy to use. It's an extremely user-friendly product."
"They have a very good reporting system and they have a very good dashboard for the administrator, which makes monitoring everything easy."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the daily updates and protection from virus attacks."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is a cost-effective solution."
"It offers very good security protection."
"Our clients are using the advanced options, and they're quite comfortable with this solution because they didn't have any problems. It was easy to integrate it with Active Directory. It is fast and easy to use. It has all the required features."
"The security is very good, compared to some other products."
"We used to have a lot of phishing attacks and all these kind of things for end-users so we decided that we needed endpoint security. We evaluated some solutions and found that Kaspersky is the most appropriate in terms of endpoint security and the speed of the user machine. The encryption is a major factor from our end."
"The security should be strong for the cloud. Some applications are on-prem and some are on the cloud. Fortinet should also have strong security for the cloud. There should be more security for the cloud."
"The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location."
"Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office."
"The SIEM could be improved."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"I still don't have a clear opinion of the possible improvements that the tool may need. There are still functionalities that I have not been able to try completely and I would like to spend more time using the tool before offering an opinion to the IT Central community on this point."
"They need to focus on more scalability (as much as possible) so that the solution can run across all supported OS."
"We did have some early compatibility issues, which I hope Check Point has since resolved."
"An additional feature I would like to see involves the VPN."
"Support's service and the response times can be improved. The triaging of the tickets takes a long time and the tickets are only resolved with escalations."
"The application control and URL filtering features are not very strong."
"We would also like the application control module to be further developed in future versions to include applications commonly used or maintained by Check Point in order to be able to configure blocking policies more quickly."
"The network monitoring features must be improved."
"It would be great if, as an additional feature, you could download updates without deploying updates to end users."
"There were issues with the cloud management."
"There are quite a number of areas for improvement. The first area for improvement is that I find this solution to be very resource intensive when you're running a particular task, even a mere scanning task, even though it's running in the background. When you go to inspect the resources you realize it makes the machine very slow. It takes up a lot of resources even though there are no particular scanning tasks scheduled to run. That's one of the issues."
"Currently, it doesn't have a cloud option. This is something that they should look into going forward."
"The solution could be more secure."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business doesn't have a built-in DLP (data loss prevention) solution."
"The solution sometimes slows down the computers of our clients, the performance needs to improve."
"I would like for Kaspersky to generate reports when it detects issues such as malware."
