Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We are a remote company, and the product helps us manage the global endpoints. It helps us natively manage the endpoints in the cloud from anywhere.""It is very easy to use. It has a very easy interface.""Application deployment and keeping the devices secure no matter where they are, by having this cloud solution — that has been great.""It's easy to deploy a configuration or policy to a system, especially when you don't have Azure AD. Now we are talking to all these small and medium-sized customers who don't necessarily have an on-premise Windows Active Directory. If they have invested in Office 365 Premium, this functionality becomes available to them.""Its protection policies are most valuable. It protects mobile devices as well as individual apps. It is pretty scalable, and its documentation is also pretty good. It is also pretty straightforward to deploy.""The central administration con dashboard is very easy to use and provides very good oversight on all that needs to be monitored.""There is a single pane of glass for user access and a single sign-on facility for the user. If you have already logged in to Microsoft Azure or on-premises, you can redirect directly to Microsoft Endpoint Manager, monitor all your security threats, and analyze the data associated with the application in a single, unified way.""The solution is stable."

"Cloud Identity is scalable enough for our needs. It's serving more than 3,000 users in our organization.""The main control page and the ability to manage all our users from a web-based portal are the most valuable aspects of the solution. That's particularly useful because we're a heterogeneous network.""The solution is user-friendly.""The solution is moderate to difficult to use. I found the approach was practical. Following the steps made it very easy to use.""One of the most useful features was the single sign-on. You can use it as an identity provider or service provider. And you can use their organization unit feature to enable or disable some of the features for a specific group of users.""Google Cloud Identity uses what they call organizational units (OUs) instead of the security groups you'd find in Microsoft's Entra.""I used it as an administrator without implementing it myself. As for valuable aspects or benefits, the significant point is that it's a straightforward, single solution that just works.""It is a very stable solution. I would rate it a ten out of ten."

More Google Cloud Identity Pros →

"The platform provides a stable environment for operations and quickly creates new environments. Additionally, it offers efficient flexibility.""The bigger vendors like VMware, Insight, and MobileIron can assign engineers to customers. You can work with them to develop the right competency to use the product.""The solution's Self-Service feature is valuable because it gives a single managed application that users can download and use based on their preferences and productivity.""If an outside person tries to track or hack information, it is not possible without us being notified.""The solution has a lot of capabilities, and it is easy to manage and customize.""The platform makes the mobile device management process straightforward to handle.""It's a tool that can be managed in various departments.""We find it to be reliable."

Cons
"It needs certificate provisioning for S/MIME purposes.""The reports aren't complete, and it's not easy to build custom reports. For example, Windows Autopilot isn't working well in cases where the computers don't have a good internet connection. Then the option is not good enough.""Some enrollment features could be improved.""The solution could improve by having better integration with Apple.""Intune doesn't provide much control over Windows servers. It's something we struggle with.""The solution can have some compliance problems in general and the end-point user can bypass easily the company policies in Intune.""I think there should be a better tracking of the cell phones used on the Intune.""The Mac integration has room for improvement."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"Google Cloud Identify could make the technology used easier to understand as a layman making it more user-friendly.""The interface could be more user-friendly.""They are going ahead and adding a few more things to the Google Cloud premium edition. Their stock management and remote computer management can be improved.""In the next release, I would like to see integration with different systems, mainly wireless SIEMS and other analytical systems that we want to introduce.""There is room for improvement in the configuration of their security policies. It seems quite basic.""To improve the product, the integration with third-party products could always be smoother.""The interface could be improved by simplifying it further.""The management of external users needs to be introduced in the tool as it is an area of concern in the tool presently."

More Google Cloud Identity Cons →

"The initial setup is a bit complex.""We'd like more useful support.""From an improvement perspective, there is a need for discounts to be offered by the solution since it is something that any organization can expect from the product.""Lacks a modern enterprise mobility management platform.""There is no Apple zero-day support for updates.""Setup is not too complex.""It's not accurate enough when it comes to sending items to end-users.""In terms of the inventory management side, as in the invoice management, the stock management and the entire inventory of an organization is lagging a bit in comparison to Blackberry or other EMM solutions."

  • "There is a cost benefit of using Microsoft Intune because of the packaging with other Microsoft products."
  • "Microsoft Intune is a cost effective choice. It is less expensive than other products on the market."
  • "The purchase of the product was handled by someone else."
  • "I have no comment on pricing of the solution."
  • "The product is offered as part of a Microsoft standard bundle. The pricing can be competitive to Airwatch, and Maas360."

  • "We probably spend about $50,000 a year on licensing."
  • "Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
  • "The product is billed on a monthly basis depending on the number of users."
  • "The fees are paid monthly and there are no additional costs other than the licensing fees."
  • "When I worked on Cloud Identity, they offered a free or enterprise version. You can synchronize and create up to 100 user identities in the free version. After that, you have to purchase a business or enterprise license. In that model, you'll be charged based on the number of users."
  • "The pricing is a bit expensive."
  • "The licensing cost depends on the partners and the relationship between the company and the partners."
  • "The solution is not expensive."
  • More Google Cloud Identity Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "You should take out a dedicated license agreement of your MDM fleet and invest heavily in innovating in this space."
  • "In terms of pricing, this solution is definitely much more expensive compared to other solutions, like MobileIron or MaaS360 or any other product in the market. This solution is more expensive by 30 or 40 percent."
  • "I have no opinion about the pricing of the product."
  • "The pricing and licensing are affordable. They are not too high."
  • "I think the pricing of the product needs advisement. It would be great to bundle the VM products together. I think the actual box itself should be included in the license. At present, it is not paired with the mobile device."
  • "If you purchase it for one year, it is very expensive. If you get it for three years or up to five years, then you can bargain a better price."
  • "There is a separate cost for technical support and extra premium features. The pricing should be simplified."
  • "The cost is a little bit high."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Cloud Identity is an Identity as a Service (IDaaS) and enterprise mobility management (EMM) product. It offers the identity services and endpoint administration that are available in G Suite as a stand-alone product. As an administrator, you can use Cloud Identity to manage your users, apps, and devices from a central location - the Google Admin console.

VMware Workspace ONE is an intelligence-driven digital workspace platform that delivers any app on any device. It integrates access control, multi-platform endpoint management, and application management. With the VMware Workspace ONE platform, IT teams can deliver a digital workspace that includes the devices and apps of the company’s choice, but with security and control.

    Reviews from Real Users

Below is some feedback from our PeerSpot users who are currently using the solution:

PeerSpot user Patrick B., Cybersecurity Architect at a tech services company, says, "Its UI is extremely easy to use whether you're an advanced user or a novice user. When I first opened it up and had to learn the product, I was easily a novice. By the end of the third month, I was digging into the backend of the system and using it as a highly advanced user to accomplish what I needed to accomplish, and I was able to do it through the UI mostly."

Roshan T., Partner Manager North America at a tech company, mentions how satisfied he is with the product, saying, "You can put all your applications on a mobile device, be it a phone or tablet. It is secure and easy to use. Because it is centrally managed, you don't have to do any configuration on the phone. I just got the phone and connected to the central applications. I just downloaded one thing and everything got rolled out. Email, calendar, and other things were deployed centrally. If you don't have AirWatch, you have to configure your phone manually. For example, you need to deploy and configure your email manually and then synchronize everything. It is much simpler when a mobile device is centrally managed."
