We performed a comparison between SentinelOne Singularity Complete and VIPRE Endpoint Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance."
"It is stable and scalable."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features."
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors"
"It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers."
"The best thing is it has a secure shell command that you can use to get into any endpoint and do some jobs."
"It has helped to reduce our organizational risks."
"Singularity has the same features as other antivirus products, but it provides an added layer of security and vulnerability protection. It's also light on resources. Singularity doesn't use a lot of CPU or memory."
"The ability to quickly and easily identify threats on our machines is valuable. The fact that it protects the environment as a whole is also valuable. They have the ability to identify network nodes, and they have Ranger as a component of the solution that allows us to see the whole picture. We can see on what we have SentinelOne and on what we do not."
"The tool deletes the problem-causing process and prevents issues."
"The remediation and rollback features are pretty impressive."
"Another valuable feature is that if a machine is infected, one that may infect other computers within the network, we have the capability of segregating that machine in the network so that it remains connected to the internet but is cut off from the other machines in the network. That helps prevent spreading of the infection. That's a very unique feature, one I have not seen in the last 10 to 15 years from any other antivirus program. That's amazing."
"I like Singularity's rollback features, threat-hunting, and Ranger Insights. The Ranger feature scans the network and provides visibility into all the unsecured assets."
"It has low overhead as far as machine resources are concerned. Everything runs faster with VIPRE installed versus some of the competitors. It has also been pretty easy to use. It just runs and gives us reports. It also sends us alerts when there is something that we need to look at. It does its job, and you just look at the reports. In other ways, you just forget that it is there."
"In general, it was pretty easy to manage."
"We find the solution to be a bit expensive."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components."
"There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors."
"Detections could be improved."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"The solution is not stable."
"Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation."
"We'd like to have a network map or scan to cover network security."
"One of the things they could do is extend the product range to include Android and iPhone so that you could have the app on your phone as well. There is probably something going on there with that, but that's something that they're lacking at the moment. For instance, if I was to have to recommend a client to protect their phone, I'd have to recommend Norton or something else. I don't have an answer within the SentinelOne solution."
"There is not much focus on the on-premise solution as the license cap is so huge for small and medium-sized institutions."
"Singularity Complete's process stream has room for improvement."
"The application management needs improvements, but I understand that they are working on it. We talked to them a few months ago, and it is something they are trying to get up to speed and fix. This way, we will be able to disable critical apps or vulnerable apps through SentinelOne. We will be able to patch applications or disable applications through the Application Management tab."
"We have had cases where Singularity Complete has caused applications to malfunction."
"My biggest complaint is that when you're logged into the console there is the Help section where you can review all the documentation. But when you log in to the support portal, there is documentation there as well. They need to sync those two into one place so that I don't have to search in two different locations for an answer."
"They can just continue adding more integrations with these big brands and software security products."
"Their management interface is a little buggy. It requires a few system resources on the management interface. Its reporting can also be better. Overall, the reports are pretty good. They patch some third-party software, but if they can expand what they do for reporting and patch enterprise software, it would be handy."
"We would get a lot of false positives and instead of them fixing the false positive, they would just want us to put in an exception, which I didn't care for."
