How are customer service and support?

I contacted the technical support team to assist me with upstreaming, WAF, and directory authentication issues.

How was the initial setup?

The installation is complicated for someone who has yet to gain prior experience working with it.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The product is expensive.

What other advice do I have?

I rate AWS Auto Scaling a six out of ten. It has good speed, documentation, pricing, and security features. However, there are better and more affordable products for handling traffic and scalability.

I advise others to know the specific scaling, computing, and traffic requirements. They need to check the exact use cases to set up scaling policies.

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Provides good documentation and enables organizations to optimize costs and balance workloads
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the graphs provided by the tool."
  • "The tool must include AI features."

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution to optimize and balance the availability and cost of AWS. It has scaling policies that can be set according to our preferences. We evaluate how much CPU a project requires and whether the resources are being underutilized. We can reduce the project timelines and balance the workloads.

What is most valuable?

AWS Auto Scaling is a good platform. I like the graphs provided by the tool. Predictive scaling, smart scaling policies, and Auto Scaling groups are valuable features. Our EC2 instance can be automatically scaled to several instances set by the user. It can be used on Amazon ECS, Amazon DynamoDB, and other AWS services.

What needs improvement?

The tool must include AI features. The configuration process is not straightforward.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We haven't faced any bugs or breakdowns in AWS. I rate the stability a ten out of ten. Everything is available on time.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We did not face any issues with scalability. Everything is updated within seconds.

How are customer service and support?

The support is very good.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy. We must follow the documentation provided by Amazon. If we follow it step by step, the setup will be very easy. The documentation provides a deep knowledge of AWS.

What other advice do I have?

I will recommend the product to others. It helps understand the availability and how much CPU space a project will occupy. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

Has a good user interface and efficient technical support services
Pros and Cons
  • "It helps us to reduce the cost."
  • "AWS Auto Scaling's documentation could be better."

What is our primary use case?

We use AWS Auto Scaling to define the number of instances depending on specific requirements.

How has it helped my organization?

We need ten instances during peak hours, but we need only two instances during off hours. We can auto-scale or downscale the number of instances using the product. It helps us to reduce the cost.

What is most valuable?

The product's most valuable feature is setting a minimum or maximum number of instances.

What needs improvement?

AWS Auto Scaling's documentation could be better. At present, we have to recall the last issues we encountered and the steps used to resolve them.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using AWS Auto Scaling for one and a half years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I rate AWS Auto Scaling a seven out of ten. It could be better.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate AWS Auto Scaling a nine out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support services are good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

We can easily implement the product for simple configuration. However, we need an expert to help us with complex configuration.

What was our ROI?

The product generates a good return on investment for us.

What other advice do I have?

I rate AWS Auto Scaling an eight out of ten. Its user interface works fine. We have three options for load balancers: classic load balancer, application load balancer, and termination network load balancer. I advise others not to use the classic load balancer.

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Then, we decide the incremental steps and how fast we want to increment or decrease. We have all the parameters to do it. The solution is cloud-based.

What about the implementation team?

In most cases, we can do the deployment ourselves. We do not need a technical team to maintain the product.
