Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Workload Automation's most valuable features are perspective analytics and coding.""The user interface is very simple and straightforward.""The most valuable features are the predefined templates for application-specific jobs and the access for different users.""The most valuable feature is that it can be installed on any type of application on every kind of operating system and the agent can use it on these applications and systems.""It will improve how we function. It is just meeting a functional need in a maybe more agile way; it is faster.""We automate very manual, robust tasks, which are very time consuming and not error-free.""The most valuable feature is that I do not have to wait for one job to finish, then manually click on the next one to start. Automation is the best feature.""We use it to automate our business."

"The most valuable feature is the Advanced Workflows.""We also use the Secure Folders module and the Web Client a lot. For example, we set up external vendors to come in and review files or folders in a Secure Folder. That way they can go in and review whatever information or data they need to do.""The SFTP and encryption functionality works well, and SFTP is the bulk of what we use.""The use of this product has helped improve our organization and its ability to send or receive. It has done this by allowing us to remove any homegrown process and centralize needed actions.""The solution is easy to learn and user-friendly, which makes it accessible even to those without programming backgrounds and extensive scripting training. Newcomers can quickly get to grips with the platform, and as it's a more object-oriented application, it's easier to use and program.""The user interface is simple.""All of it is valuable, but the most valuable would be the ability to release medical records without having a limitation for size and not having to deal with the fax machine.""The security and vendor management features are helpful in terms of providing access to data."

Cons
"I hope going forward they will make some changes to the documentation. I hope they will write into the documentation what has changed and what the new names are. For example, some features have a new name. I hope they will make a translation the names in the old version to the names in the newer version.""There are some problems when using the new interface.""There are some scripting elements that could be added.""For power users, it does not work well for them at the moment.""The new UI feels unready. It makes your browsers crash.""An area for improvement would be SQL performance. While tracing SQL traffic, we noticed a lot of commands that cause contention/locks as well as forced waits. The efficiency of the SQL could be greatly improved (in some cases by simply replacing nested Selects and using NOLOCK hints).""The tool lacks interoperability features.""The forecast and long-term planning could be made a little better when you work with it in the future."

More Automic Workload Automation Cons →

"When we restart the agent on each server, it tries to go out to the internet and it takes about a 13-minute timeout before it can move forward. Why is there a 13-minute timeout value when trying to go to the internet? ...If they could limit that timeout or give us a way to modify it so we could have a faster timeout, that would help us at least knock out a half-hour's worth of outage.""One of the things that I wish is to not necessarily have to set up a username and password for people with whom we don't frequently share files. For instance, if I want to share files with a patient who is not somebody with whom we share files all the time, I would like them to somehow verify who they are and be able to push the file to them. I shouldn’t have to set them up as a user with a password. It should be almost like Dropbox.""Its user interface can be improved. The current user interface is a little basic for some of the use cases. We have to use an external component to enhance it. When we need a more appealing user interface, we use an additional component, and that works okay.""In some scenarios, when you are in a cluster environment, the load-balancing capabilities of the gateway need to be improved a little. This functionality needs some improvement.""The security could be upgraded to address novel cyberattacks. I'm not sure whether the product's security is being updated periodically.""I want to be able to use GoAnywhere to create customizable reports that I can share with the MSP containing any information related to file transfers.""Improvement in support or product relies on being ingenious, supportive, and listening to its customer base.""API functionality wasn't part of our initial unit testing because it wasn't necessary then. However, shortly after implementing GoAnywhere, two different vendors approached us to do API transactions. We checked to see if GoAnywhere could do this and found that it was supposed to have that capability, but it broke down."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Automatic is heavily integrated in our organization. The cost to change would be a huge factor for us, and we have not found any other product that is better out there."
  • "Do your own proof of concept. Make sure you know what you want. Be clear about what you want the product to do for you. Go out and meet with the vendor, then test it."
  • "The cost of arrays is high. If you want to buy an array for an application, and see value from it, you need about half a million dollars. That is too expensive."
  • "It costs to scale. While, it is scalable, the add-ons are expensive."
  • "It has helped us reduce costs."
  • "You do not need any humans to start jobs, so you can save a lot of money."
  • "We have received a lot of time and cost efficiencies from using the product."
  • "We cannot use all the functions because they are too expensive."

  • "Licensing can be expensive and it depends upon which features you want to buy."
  • "Pricing is based on a one-time license."
  • "It would be good for the company to explore a modular approach to selling the product so it could be cheaper and more attractive to users."
  • "For what we pay to GoAnywhere every year, we are getting a fantastic deal. From a dollar perspective, it provides very good value."
  • "The cost of GoAnywhere versus the value it brings to our data transfer operations is reasonable... The cost is relatively expensive but, back to the car analogy, that's to be expected with a Ferrari."
  • "I get the invoices, and its price is fine and appropriate. It is well priced. Even if it was double the price, we'd use it. For us, it is indispensable. We're not going to go anywhere else. There are no additional costs. Its licensing is good. There is just one charge that we get. That's it."
  • "To have a solution like this for the price we're paying makes it cheap. Considering the time that it has saved us, and considering the development that we don't need to do, such as connectors and handling servers, the price is really affordable."
  • "HelpSystems GoAnywhere MFT is very reasonably priced for the value it brings."
