Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"You can make resources. You can import them from Azure or Active Directory and put them in an application. For example, if there is an application that uses a lot of Active Directory groups, you can make the groups available for people. If they need to access that application, you can tell them the resource groups you have for that application. People can do everything by themselves. They do not need anybody else. They can just go to the Omada portal, and they can do it all by themselves. That is terrific.""Our customers have benefited from Omada Identity automating the certification process. Most of our customers were using manual methods for user access certification. With Omada Identity, you can automate almost all of it, which means that certification now becomes on demand. You don't have to wait for two or three months to execute a certification timeframe. Instead, you can do certifications as often as you want.""The teams we work with at Omada provide great insights and support. Overall, it has been a pleasure working with them. That's the part we value the most.""For me, the best feature of Omada Identity is its web interface because it's really easy for users to understand.""What I like most is that we can always find a solution, and we can also find the cause when something goes wrong. I like that the most because everything is in one way or another traceable. That is what I like most. I like its reliability.""The support for the validity of the resources is valuable. The tool allows resource assignments within a validity period so that the managers do not have to remember to revoke the access once the work is done.""The most valuable feature in Omada is the governance. We work with other products and other product vendors, but the sweet spot in the market for Omada is where things are heavy on governance.""Support-wise, working with Omada has been good. We have very good direct interactions and fast responses."

"The solution is flexible. You can customize it a lot. You can can build connectors, connecting them to a new application, and so on.""We chose this product for being able to accommodate our requirements. It's very flexible, and it's open to being developed to our requirements.""It gives the best user experience, enabling us an overview of all user entitlements.""It has many features which can be combined and configured in a great way, then put together in projects and ways that developers didn't think were possible, which has been great.""You can scale it quite big, which is good. It has good sizing.""The most valuable features are that it has a lot of capabilities, can integrate with a lot of systems, including automated onboarding like CyberArk, and allows you to integrate different entities.""This solution is quite flexible. We have a lot of customization since we have our own business processes.""One of the valuable features is that it is relatively organized. I definitely appreciate that aspect. It is also relatively simple to use with a very easy flow to the GUI. The user interface is really top-notch."

"Varonis Platform is transparent and captures everything in the environment without impacting the performance. The tool helps us unify data feeds into a single reporting system.""The solution has significantly improved data security and compliance posture by allowing us to track and monitor activities. We can see who accesses data and when files are created and understand what's happening in our environment.""There's also a 90-day policy where if a user is not using the warehouse, it will automatically delete that username."

Cons
"The security permission inside Omada needs improvement. It's tricky to set up.""Omada could make it a bit more convenient to send emails based on events automatically. Having that functionality is critical for us to maintain transparency.""Omada Identity has a steep learning curve.""When the re-certification process is launched that makes Omada very slow. There are performance issues in the current version.""I would like to search on date fields, which is not possible now.""One thing that we are not so happy about is the user interface. It is a bit dated. I know that they are working on that, but the user interface is quite dated. Currently, it is a little bit difficult to customize the user interface to the need of the business, which is a little bit disappointing. It needs it to be a little bit easier to operate, and it should have a better user interface.""The current reporting tools in Omada are limited, but we expect significant improvements in the new version.""The account management integration isn't bad, but it isn't plug-and-play like Microsoft Azure. You need some deep development knowledge to set up the connectors."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"There are too many different user interfaces. For example, one is the designer and another is the manager. There's also a web interface and an object browser. It would be helpful to consolidate all of those into a single administrator portal.""The solution should come up with a lighter version so people can buy different versions.""I would like them to enhance the search functionality to enable faster processing when looking for objects.""One of the things we would like is the ability to have more than one system role manager. That would be nice. For example, when people are on vacation, sometimes it gets a little hard to administrate system roles.""I would like to integrate automated testing with One Identity, and it would be great to have some support from the vendor on here.""The user interface needs to improve.""The interface can be a bit complex for an administrator to manage.""Having new features for web developers in the One Identity Manager shop is an area for improvement. Another area for improvement in the tool is its ServiceNow connection as ServiceNow is a major ITSM system player, but the current out-of-the-box feature proposed by One Identity Manager can only make simple incident requests to the system. My company is now in full ICL design, so it prefers for all concerns or requests to be sent properly to ServiceNow, so my company can have better control over the incident requests and be able to sort those out. The tool fits all my needs today, except for the ServiceNow connector. That's the only additional feature I'd like to see in the next release of One Identity Manager."

More One Identity Manager Cons →

"The product is very complicated.""There is one thing that if I add something manually, I get so many alerts. That's the biggest bad thing."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

  • "Start with an operations team that is motivated to learn a lot in a short period of time. The longer you wait, the more expensive it will be to get the right level of expertise in this area."
  • "There are old processes that are really great for some people and look like pieces of artwork. However, the maintenance of them is really expensive."
  • "The solution is flexible, in general. You can define the parts of the solution that you want to use, and it won't affect the price."
  • "We have the premium support and are very satisfied. They are always answer our questions very quickly. For the moment, we are very satisfied, but I think it's because we are paying for the premium support."
  • "It helps us save on licenses for applications because we are following the account lifecycle, as well as account reactivation."
  • "We are paying for premium support, which is expensive. However, we do receive very good, fast support."
  • "It needs flexibility in the licensing or packaging, because you buy the entire package at once, and sometimes the customers are a bit overwhelmed with whatever they get. I would like if they could cut the licensing or packaging into somewhat smaller things."
  • "It has helped to reduce customer costs."
