"Code check in and code version control."
"Bitbucket is definitely a tool to consider if somebody is still on CVS. It is a great tool and well integrated with Bamboo."
"Bitbucket lets me create new projects in a few clicks and check out files in a seamless and integrated manner."
"The initial deployment is rather straightforward and only takes 30 minutes to an hour."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The product's initial setup phase experience was good."
"The product's most valuable feature is output backup."
"We have a couple of different tools that allow us to tie source code changes to report bugs. It's integrated with a bug tracking system and also integrated with what requires a tracking system. So we have better facilities. We get with the command line and can type all that stuff in and get the same kind of trust, but when we d it all manually, it's not likely to happen."
"The solution can scale."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the version control field."
"The versioning of the code and the tracking of changes are definitely some of my top features."
"GitHub is good for collaboration because everyone can access it or we can restrict access to a few users. If I upload a file and share the URL, it's not restricted to a set number of users. Everyone with the link can download the files."
"We've found the technical support to be very helpful."
"A great feature is being able to have different repositories and different kinds of projects in a single solution at a single time. It's just a click away."
"We use GitHub instead of our regular shared drive. It offers instant access to shared folders as well as good security."
"The Projects Tab, which shows you the todo list and the progress for projects, is very helpful."
"Technical support is not very fast."
"I rate the support from Bitbucket a four out of five."
"It would be beneficial to have a straightforward mechanism for integrating the initial tasks defined in Bitbucket with Jira when the need arises."
"Currently, what's lacking in Bitbucket is the assignment feature."
"I would like to see the security logs option on the tool directly. The current way to work with security logs is through an email protocol."
"Bitbucket's stability isn't flawless. It has crashed on me occasionally, but I haven't yet lost anything after a crash."
"There are many places where the product could be expanded to make it a more complete solution."
"Bitbucket should consider having a CI/CD if they don’t have it already."
"The descriptions within Github could be more user-friendly to show the trees of Gitflow."
"The storage for this solution could be improved."
"This solution could be improved if migration was fully automated to make it easy, for example, to migrate repositories into GitHub."
"It would be better if the amount of storage were increased."
"Our firewall was blocking cloning and downloading with SSH."
"GitHub could add some more security features."
"They're improving the work items to track the progress of the team, but in my experience, Azure DevOps is better in this functionality. GitHub needs to improve the form to track the progress of the work done by a team."
"GitHub's issue management could be improved a little from an organization standpoint. It would be helpful to have the ability to organize a work board or a backlog more comprehensively. For organizations migrating to GitHub from arbitrary systems, it's a little bit of a headache to move on to that system."
