"Dashboards and their versatility are among the most valuable features."
"The dashboards and the performance of the software have been great."
"The ability to send notifications based on metadata from the monitor is helpful."
"We find they have a very helpful alert system."
"Its integration is most valuable because you can integrate it with various service providers such as AWS, .Net, etc."
"It has versatility to correlate different traffic types and performance management statistics."
"The solution helps us get to root cause quickly by using the Media Monitor to help identify QoS mismatches for voice calls on the network."
"The support is good."
"Packet decode and bandwidth analysis reports are the two most valuable features."
"The visual and graphical interfaces in the display that it provides for us to show our senior leadership. We can show them what is actually happening, instead of a spreadsheet."
"The solution helps to troubleshoot and put our hands on the weak points of customer networks."
"The ability to be able to do detailed traffic analysis such as top-talkers, application-specific monitoring, and understanding them through patterns, is helpful. We're also able to gain an understanding of voice calls, voice traffic, whether we have packet loss in a certain part of the network or jitter or high latency that might be impacting the network. All of those are nice functionalities."
"Valuable features include data threat detection, network analytics, and overall bandwidth monitoring."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"The technical support needs improvement."
"Datadog could be improved if it could detect other software in a container or server."
"The product needs a better Datadog agent installation."
"Auto instrumentation on tracing has not been very easy to find in the documentation."
"Since the Datadog platform has so many separate features, solving so many use cases, there are often inconsistencies in feature availability and interoperability between products."
"It can have a more modernized pricing mechanism. We're actually working with them to figure out how to become more modular and have a better and more modernized pricing mechanism. The issue with Datadog is that you have to buy the whole suite of different products, and you kind of get stuck in the old utilization of 40% of their suite. Most organizations today break down between application development, networking, and security. Therefore, there should be a way to break down different modules into just app dev, infosec, networking, etc. Customers have various needs across their business lines, and sometimes, they're just not willing to have tools that they're not using 100%. AppDynamics is probably a little bit better in terms of being modular."
"I would love to see support for front-end and mobile applications. Right now, it is mostly all back-end stuff. Being able to do some integration with our front-end products would be awesome."
"It is very difficult to make the solutions fit perfectly for large organizations, especially in terms of high cardinality objects and multi-tenancy, where the data needs to be rolled up to a summarized level while maintaining its individual data granularity and identifiers."
"One thing we have run into is that it is so easy to add monitoring that we turn on things without really understanding the costs."
"Its initial setup process is complicated."
"NETSCOUT nGeniusONE is a complex product since it deals in areas like network packet brokers and packet analysis, making the tool complicated for end users."
"NETSCOUT nGeniusONE's pricing is higher compared to the competitors. It is more than 15-18 percent of competitor costs. It also needs to add AI features."
"here is a big issue with the special way they use InfiniStream to store data."
"The stability is only fair. It goes down a lot."
"NETSCOUT nGeniusONE can improve the detection of what area of the infrastructure could be having an issue, such as an application, server, or network. It needs to find evidence of a fault."
"I would like more in-depth convergence between all the applications, especially when I look for information through a data mine."
"The feature I am looking for is the Arbor technology, especially to run in parallel with our firewall... It's getting there."
