"The technical ability to run runtime APIs is great.""You can group them into the BIs, which is business intelligence. You get your own key performance indicators and build your own reports or you could have your own screens, and it changes in real time.""Payroll and online benefits enrollment""It is scalable.""I think one of the best use cases is centralizing supplier and customer data into our finance system. We identified there were so many duplicate suppliers and customers and so a lot of time was spent reporting.""The integration of the various modules is definitely the most valuable feature for us. Our clients being business-minded, which involves customers and suppliers.""The technical support for the solution was very good.""It was very easy to integrate the product into our existing infrastructure."

Cons
"The functionality for monitoring satisfactory academic progress has room for improvement."

More Ellucian Cons →

"The user interface could be better. It's not good because they made their interface all in one, and my customers don't want to use it. I have to customize the interface and personalize it to hide some fields on the screen. It has lots of information on the screen, and the user can't easily navigate it. It's very difficult to use. I think that Oracle should have something like best practices. They need to provide some patches to simplify the interface based on the industry niche. Because now we see everything on the same screen, but the users don't need all that information. It's complicated to use for end-users, and we have to spend more time training them. In the next release, I think they should implement most of the features in the mobile app. It should be better. Oracle didn't update their mobile application for a very long time. Connecting the mobile application is complicated.""Oracle E-Business Suite's stability could be improved as they have a lot of bugs that need to be fixed.""The implementation took a long time but it was for many reasons. However, Oracle made sure that the solution and systems were up and running.""It would be great to see Oracle E-Business Suite become less dependent on the SAO solution, which is an integration solution for Oracle platforms.""Reporting is a big area for improvement. It needs to provide the ability to extract data from the suite. Oracle has also been making a great effort to make E-Business Suite more user-friendly but there are still areas where a focus on User Experience would help.""Standard reporting needs to be changed. Many of the standard reports look the same as they did in version 10.7, 20 years ago.""I would like to see more automation.""Oracle has improved a lot because Oracle E-Business Suite is quite outdated. Oracle built the Oracle Fusion platform and it has many improved processes. We registered a few enhancements requests, but it's a very long bureaucratic process with Oracle. It doesn't make any sense to communicate with Oracle about what changes should be made to the system."

    Reviews from Real Users:

Kopano R., Freelancer at a tech services company, says, “What I found most valuable in Oracle E-Business Suite is the patching because it is straightforward. As long as you follow Oracle's best practices, you are able to finish the task of patching without a problem. I like that it's also easy to add products, e.g. if you want to add on financials, you can, or if you don't have financials, you can expand on that. I like that Oracle E-Business Suite is really scalable.”

Mohammed G., Senior Oracle Application Consultant at a comms service provider, writes, “Oracle E-Business Suite consists of a lot of streams, such as financial and HR processes of the enterprise companies. We are using most of the Oracle financial modules, and we have an Oracle stream, FI procurement stream, and HR streams, which have a lot of applications. Oracle E-Business Suite has over 20 different modules to choose from, it is comprehensive. Additionally, the integration is very good. “
