We performed a comparison between Scalefusion and SOTI MobiControl based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."It's very informative when there is an error. It allows us to backtrace where the error is and resolve that ourselves. It's a bit of a Swiss Army penknife. We find that it fixes most issues."
"Agile and easy to deploy MDM solution that covers the maximum number of policies. Stable, scalable, and with knowledgeable technical support."
"The solution has reduced the risk of security breaches by 30%."
"I like the group policy management feature, which performs application monitoring and device enrollment."
"There are so many features, but Windows Autopilot is one of the features that are very valuable for most customers."
"Microsoft Endpoint Manager is not expensive overall, especially for small environments."
"I would say the biggest benefit is the single-pane view. There's no jumping around multiple UI's to do your overall management."
"It helps implement conditional access policies to restrict mobile users from accessing potentially dangerous emails."
"Scalefusion is easy to use, and they have a broad knowledge base, so you can quickly find answers if you're unsure how to do something. The articles on the knowledge base are well-written, with clear steps on what to do for a specific scenario. That part is well documented."
"We use SOTI MobiControl for managing Android device management."
"The Lockdown Kiosk Mode is very useful... When you have 9,000 people remotely using your applications, you want to make sure that they don't play with Facebook while they're supposed to be working... It also prevents installation of software that could be harmful or compromise the security of the phone."
"It is very reliable, and their support is excellent."
"I have experience with technical support. They are quite good. Also, they very quickly understand the issues and what are the requirements from my side. Response time is also good."
"The keywords menu is better than other MDM. They have an Out of Contact policy, which other MDMs don't have."
"The ease of access was awesome. The guys helping us out were pretty fluent in the product. I currently have two devices in a dashboard that we're testing, but the solution that they have is awesome. I like that it's a cloud-based based solution, and I think there will be some significant cost savings."
"The admin part, where I'm adding users, is not too bad. It's easy enough to use."
"The most valuable feature is the fact that I can manage my devices remotely."
"Microsoft Intune's support for Mac devices is lacking and could be improved."
"I expect Microsoft Intune to have more features in the cloud because there are two major functionalities that we need to be added. This is software metering and license management. These functionalities, for now, must be on-premise. For this purpose, we have set up a SQL Server and I hope that in near future this option will be in the cloud in Microsoft Intune."
"Microsoft Intune has a latency response time issue. The latency has room for improvement."
"An issue we have run into with Microsoft Endpoint Manager is that we cannot patch third-party products like Adobe and Chrome with it."
"I would like to see easier pushdowns. Currently, we have to package our own software and then push it. Intune can make that way easier and integrate applications, such as Zoom and Adobe Acrobat, that are used by a lot of enterprise or corporate organizations."
"There can be delays in the deployment of new policies."
"Microsoft Intune fails a lot when it comes to device compliance."
"Intune's third-party patch management could be better. It should be easier for the average system admin to keep non-Microsoft applications updated."
"It could be easier to put devices on the blocklist. I would like the ability to block a device with a click of a button. Currently, we have to sift through different groups to block a device. It would be nice if Scalefusion allowed me to block without moving the device to a different profile. Another helpful feature they could add is the ability to migrate from one MDM to another. I'd also appreciate more extensive cloud storage. They give you 1 GB by default, but sometimes that's not enough."
"In future releases, I would like to see a better configuration of the dashboard."
"They should improve the lockdown feature."
"There is room for improvement when it comes to the ability to customize devices and choosing what information goes onto them."
"The main feature that we would like to have with Soti is the ability to push an iOS update without having people come to my office. That is the main reason why we went with Soti. And that feature is not working on my version."
"Maybe if there were tiers, it would be better as then companies could lower the pricing by going to the lower deployment model."
"The pricing policy of SOTI is not stable. You buy it today at one price, and the following year, it becomes something like 5% or 7% higher. From my point of view, SOTI is a little bit weak in terms of implementation on the new Windows 10 devices, and they have to work on this. It can't compete with Intune and other solutions when it comes to Windows implementation. It almost doesn't work with iOS. It works well with Android."
"If the interface was a little bit more intuitive, more easily allowed me to get to where I want to be, that would be a little bit nicer, as far as the file sync goes."
"The quality of the support service is poor. The headquarters are not very responsive. And, the actual quality of the software has its drawbacks."
