We performed a comparison between SECDO Platform and VMware Carbon Black Endpoint based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about VMware, ServiceNow, IBM and others in Security Incident Response."Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR."
"It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out."
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance."
"The ease of deployment is a valuable feature."
"Technical support is great. Palo Alto is extremely helpful and responsive."
"It basically automates the entire alert investigation process."
"Some of the valuable features I have found are the online documentation of the solution is well organized and thorough. I like the simplicity of bypass and the visualization of the active components."
"The initial setup is very easy."
"The triage feature that shows you the whole chain of the malware is useful."
"The solution is very useful and easy to handle. You don't need much intervention with this product."
"It has intelligent learning behind it and we have been very successful in preventing attacks."
"The solution is extremely scalable."
"The solution has a library where we can have multiple threat intels onboarded. We just have to subscribe to a particular site intel and they'll provide us with all of the truncated details so that we can create IOCs and alerts on the basis of those IOCs."
"The software uses very few resources; it is almost invisible to the end user."
"The support needs improvement."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"The only minor concern is occasional interference with desired programs."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"They can include the automation for the realtime updates. We have a network infrastructure with remote sites. Whenever they send updates, they are not automated. We have to go into the console and push those updates. I wish it was more automated. The update file is currently around 31 MB. It could be smaller."
"The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices."
"The price should be reduced in order to be more competitive in the market."
"Maybe the notifications setting could use a simpler setting."
"Many will try to use this as an out-of-the-box solution, however, it needs to be configured to fit what a company would like to do with it."
"As far as I know, Carbon Defense has nothing that can be installed on mobile devices. It lacks a defense solution for mobile devices, especially mobile tablets. I would like to see support for mobile devices and the pricing should be less than the pricing for a normal workstation."
"They will most likely need to create or include a feature that checks the network."
"The support is poor."
"The EDR portion could be better. I'm not a big fan, but it works."
"I haven't run into anything that needs improvement. The website interface can be a little bit better, but it's still good as compared to most others."
"It could be a bit complicated. You have to be very familiar with Carbon Black to understand what it is doing and why it is doing. I would like to have more explanations and simplification in the user interface. It would be good to get help and see more explanations. It should tell us that a software is blocked and the reason for it. It would be good to be able to build chains in terms of what caused what, what worked, and what caused an issue. We are now moving from Carbon Black to Cortex XDR. While choosing antivirus software, we were also looking at Carbon Black because it also has an antivirus package, and it is next-generation, but we were told that Carbon Black doesn't support firewalls. We have Palo Alto firewalls. We would have chosen this solution if it supported firewalls, in particular next-generation firewalls, but unfortunately, it doesn't. Therefore, we decided on Cortex XDR because it integrates with Palo Alto firewalls."
"The feature set for the firewall needs improvement."
"This solution could have greater granular control on how certain applications work."
