We performed a comparison between SentinelOne Singularity Complete and Webroot Business Endpoint Protection based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR."
"NGAV and EDR features are outstanding."
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."
"The product's initial setup phase is very easy."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution."
"This is stable and scalable."
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"The fact that SentinelOne is actively looking for threats and runs them against the hash on the Internet to determine if they are malicious or not, is what takes it to the next level compared to other antivirus products."
"The Storyline feature has significantly affected our incident response time. Originally, what would take us hours, now it takes us several minutes."
"SentinelOne is preferred because of its great features and nominal cost."
"They provide a map, a process tree, and that is pretty good for analysis."
"Their platform is really easy to work with."
"The solution can search for hidden and dormant threats on encrypted traffic in your environment."
"Having the capability to gain insights across our network, observe all our machines, and have a centralized view of what's protected and where things are is incredibly advantageous."
"The rollback feature is the most valuable aspect of the solution."
"Auto-Remediation"
"It is an easy-to-use and easy-to-configure product."
"It is pretty unintrusive. It doesn't take over the system like McAfee or Norton. It doesn't use a whole lot of resources. McAfee and Norton use a lot of resources."
"Speed"
"I like that Webroot is very lightweight. It didn't bog down the machine, and more importantly, it had heuristics artificial intelligence to some degree. It wasn't like full-blown artificial intelligence, but something where you have one endpoint recognizing issues because it maintains a cloud database. If one client recognizes a threat, it would add it to the database, and almost immediately, every agent in the world would also know about that threat. That was very appealing to us. However, now it's becoming commonplace, whereas ventures like Symantec and McAfee were based more on the traditional model of definition and updates, and we were always falling behind. Webroot also has pretty good technical support."
"The solution has many features. It is very easy to define and set the policies based on the user groups, it does not take up a lot of resources in operation, and has provided us with a good track record of protection."
"The most valuable features of the solution include the endpoint navigation protection, the protection related to the EMS service, as well as the control and the cloud integration capabilities."
"The traffic security monitoring, traffic application access feature called the agent, the main feature which is the endpoint security feature are the ones I found valuable. And it also had the in branch security in kind of SD WAN, good three hundred and sixty protection. It is specific and there is ease of deployment also present."
"The dashboard isn't easy to access and manage."
"To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"Detections could be improved."
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments."
"We are not utilizing all the features available with SentinelOne Singularity Complete, including the built-in XDR and Ranger, due to the substantial associated costs."
"It is an expensive product."
"There is not much focus on the on-premise solution as the license cap is so huge for small and medium-sized institutions."
"Some of the reports that are exported through SentinelOne can be complicated for people who are not IT professionals. For example, we have some people within our leadership who would like to know why we are spending so much money on their product, and one of the ways that we are able to do that is through reports. Some of those reports are pretty easy to understand, and some of them are very complicated. Because they are not IT or security professionals, they may not have the same grasp. I wish their reporting feature was a little better."
"The ability to have more direct purchasing for smaller groups and smaller businesses would be great."
"Native integration with the mobile console is an area that can be improved."
"The ability to integrate this product with an antivirus solution would be welcome. Even consolidation with more security products, like Umbrella networking abilities etc. to provide more on this platform, that would be great."
"One of the areas which would benefit from being improved is the policies. There are still software programs where we need to manually program in the policies to tell the system, "This program is legitimate." Some level of AI-based automation in creating those policies would go a long way in improving the amount of time it takes to deploy the system."
"I'm not happy with Webroot Business Endpoint Protection, for only one reason. It seems that it slows down my interface when I'm doing programming in Microsoft Access, tremendously."
"One of the biggest pain points is that it's not really ransomware-oriented. They will be able to catch some, but that's where Sentinel One is a better player compared to Webroot."
"They should provide more information on the type of cyber attacks."
"Its detection capability for certain attacks should be improved. It should have better and wider detection for certain malware attacks. It could also have some sort of RMN."
"It doesn't do anything proactive. The virus has to hit the machine before it detects it."
"I believe that Webroot Business Endpoint Protection should offer a more modern UI."
"An updated UI would be nice, but is not hardly used."
"The only complaint I have with Webroot is its inability to prevent UoD phishing and its inability to check against bots or block anti-attacks. Plus the URL server is in zero-definition."
