We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features of ArcSight ESM are the dashboards, ease of management for anyone, and simple for teams to provide reports related to cyber security. There are a lot of good features that are provided.""For the typical malware or intrusion, this solution assists us by identifying the symptoms based on network traffic from the application servers.""It is a robust product and has multiple valuable features.""The stability of ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager is good.""The out-of-the-box rules that help us configure functioning rules within the environment are valuable.""It is a very useful tool for intelligence building because it has many use cases and many rule sets.""I think that the overall experience with this solution is good, but in particular, I think that the dashboards are quite interactive.""Some of the benefits of using this solution are rapid correlation and near-time response on alerts."

"AWS Security Hub provides comprehensive alerts about potential compliance issues with CIS standards. The integration with third-party tools is another excellent feature. All our workloads are on AWS.""The most valuable features of the solution are the scanning of all the cloud environments and most of the compliances available in the cloud.""It's a security posture management tool from AWS. Basically, it identifies misconfigurations, similar to Trusted Advisor but on a larger scale.""I like that AWS Security Hub currently has several good features, around four or five. The technical support for AWS Security Hub is also responsive.""The most valuable feature of AWS Security Hub is the ability to track when monitoring is not enabled on any of my resources.""The platform has valuable features for security.""Cloudposse is a valuable feature as it guarantees my security.""I really like the seamless integration with the AWS account structure. It can even be made mandatory as part of the landing zone. These are great features. And there's a single pane of glass for the entire account."

Cons
"We have pricing issues. ArcSight ESM may not be the most user-friendly option, and its interface is quite traditional. However, despite these aspects, we find it a good cybersecurity solution. It needs to improve the dashboards, documentation, and support as well.""We would like the ability to easily identify either unused resources or those that are being used sub-optimally.""There are several improvements that we would like to see, including: Building a system based on a log collection (SOC), a scenario for external encroachment, and Operator training.""The weakness in this system comes about because, with so many different logs, it is possible that the security analyst will lose information.""When I asked our networking juniors for a comparison between LogRhythm and ArcSight, they said that both platforms are almost the same. It is just that LogRhythm is more modern with a digital platform, which probably gives it some advantage over ArcSight. ArcSight is a very old and mature product that is running on an old platform. It is an old legacy platform. In terms of new features, it just requires platform upgrades so that it becomes lighter and easily adaptable, specifically in the cloud. It would be a good thing if they can also make reporting easier.""The visualization is not very good compared to Splunk.""The security area has room for improvement.""The correlation engine effectively connects different events, significantly improving our detection reach. However, limitations exist with non-default alerts, where additional costs arise for integration."

More ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) Cons →

"From an improvement perspective, there is a need to add more compliance since, right now, AWS Security Hub only provides four to five compliances to control the tool.""It is not flexible for multi-cloud environments.""AWS Security Hub should improve the time it takes to update. It takes a long period of time when updating. It can take 24 hours sometimes to update. Additionally, when integrating this solution with more security tools, takes time.""It's not user-friendly. Too much going on, too many unnecessary findings, not very visual. You can't do much compared to other similar tools that are cheaper and better.""The solution should be easier to learn and use""AWS Security Hub's configuration and integration are areas where it lacks and needs to improve.""The solution lacks self-sufficiency.""The solution will only give you insight if you have configure rule enabled. It should work more like Prisma Cloud and Dome9 which have a better approach."
