Find out in this report how the two Remote Access solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."I like the fact that Remote Access allows the administrator to control and manage things. It makes things smoother, and it has been an excellent experience."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN provides strong security features, including encryption, authentication, endpoint security, access control, and centralized management."
"The VPN hides your IP address and encrypts your online traffic and it essentially ensures that your fingerprints cannot be traced on the Internet."
"Check Point has been perfect for protecting us from any type of attack or data theft during remote management."
"For us, it was essential to integrate with Active Directory, which is our credentials repository."
"We use it to connect our sites. We have a couple of sites that need to interconnect."
"The policies are easy to use."
"Technical support has been excellent."
"It helps implement conditional access policies to restrict mobile users from accessing potentially dangerous emails."
"Intune's feature that I have found most valuable is its auto-pilot feature."
"We have one MDM that works with Windows, iOS, and Android."
"The reporting and analytics features in Microsoft Intune have been a lifesaver."
"It allows our clients to have the confidence to centrally manage policies for security. It helps them in securing the organization from a technology aspect."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is having all our devices compliant with our policies."
"I like the group policy management feature, which performs application monitoring and device enrollment."
"It is a stable solution."
"We'd like to integrate Check Point into the Remote Access VPN solution and have the ability to integrate multiple devices as access points through the solution."
"The main feature that would be improved within Check Point Remote Access is its operation within Linux OS, as it currently does not have many features for that OS."
"We are very happy with the Windows client. You log in with the VPN for the full client, you do the log in there. But for Linux machines, they don't have a full client to install. It is important because we have some users that use Linux and they don't have a specific application from Check Point to use. That is something that could be improved."
"We have noted some stability issues."
"The cost of maintenance is high compared to most products in the market."
"Price category and smooth renewal of agreement should be considered for flawless and quick onboarding of clients and partners."
"The client-side UI is fundamental, and there is nothing to see."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN's enterprise support could be improved."
"When somebody has a customized application or their own company's application, we cannot deploy that application."
"The reporting needs to be a bit more interactive."
"The security features should be improved."
"Technical support is not that great."
"It just doesn't handle software updates well at all by itself. You need to be a scripting wizard to make those happen properly, or you use third-party tools. The Windows feature updates are very difficult to implement. I would like to see a proprietary built-in remote control tool. I know that they have Team Viewer integrated, but it is not seamless. It would be nice if they had a seamless remote desktop capability directly from the Intune console."
"An area for improvement is the absence of seamless integration, particularly with external dashboards."
"Integration with Mac devices requires some improvement."
"One big problem with Microsoft is that they're changing the names of the products quite often, or they're quite consistently doing so. Intune is now Endpoint administration. Constantly switching the user interface or the administrative interface makes it quite hard to keep pace. If you are on a two-week holiday and you come back and look at the same screen you have looked at for the last couple of months, it looks different, which is annoying. Changing things around all the time doesn't make it easy."
