We performed a comparison between Fiorano ESB and IBM Integration Bus based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The platform's most valuable feature is data transformation."
"The ability to compliment out-of-the-box integration components with small custom code."
"One of the most valuable features is the scalability. Whenever it's required, we can add more servers and scale. We can actually use specific servers for specific stuff. Unlike in other solutions, now we can implement one server purely dedicated to core-banking-related API. This is very important when it comes to the PCI DSS certification."
"I have found IBM Integration Bus is very useful because it can integrate multiple backend applications."
"I consider the solution to be one of the most stable in the market."
"The most valuable features of the IBM Integration Bus are the flexibility to easily integrate with other solutions, such as SAP or any other vendors."
"The most valuable thing is the loose coupling and making the change in only one stack of the ESB layer or the middleware layer."
"The stability is mostly pretty good."
"Web interface, REST API for viewing services, admin, stats, and deployment are premium features, which makes IIB stand among its competition."
"I recommend it for large enterprises but only for specific use cases. You need to have a relatively mature integration practice in your organization to leverage its capabilities fully."
"IBM support is fantastic and quick."
"Error logging is not very user-friendly. It requires the error logging to be configured in many different places."
"Fiorano ESB's logging feature and data availability need improvement."
"Fiorano ESB could be improved by becoming more user-friendly. Most of the pages and generated reports on API usage are already there, but they could be more user-friendly. There could be more selections added to generate reports. Overall, though, Fiorano suits all our needs and has good functionality."
"They should add connectors to banking applications and other specific industries."
"Its documentation is currently lacking. We have different environments where we use our configuration services, but we are not able to find documentation about how to deploy the local code to the server and how to set it up on a server level. I would like more documents from IBM that explain which variables should be in your machine while building a project, and when you deploy the code into the server, what should be their values. There are some variable values. I could not find such documentation. While working on a project, I developed the code on a local machine, and while deploying the code to our test environment, I made a couple of mistakes. We had to change some values at the server level, but we couldn't find any documentation regarding this, which made the task difficult."
"In terms of improvement, the UI should be more user-friendly."
"The performance needs to be enhanced when working with the Toolkit."
"I would like to be able to build an Integration Bus cluster that is active-active."
"We used a third-party vendor, who help us install the solution and it was not easy."
"Sometimes migration takes too long."
"Licensing is too high. It is quite expensive."
