We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution's initial setup process was easy...The technical support is good...It is a stable product, and we will use it for a long time.""The most valuable features are the composable structure, infrastructure, and automation.""Firmware compliance is one of the most valuable features.""OneView provides a single console, which is manageable without physical access.""Have a single plane of glass across all of the server platforms.""The OneView Global Dashboard is very user-friendly and it can be used for monitoring the power consumption and temperature of the data center and racks.""The easy user interface was what I found most valuable in HPE OneView. For example, if I wanted to know the infrastructure status or I needed to send in any change commands, HPE OneView had simple buttons.""Provides the strongest support for automation."

"It gives us the liberty to do more in terms of use cases.""The solution's most valuable feature is its data modeling.""I have also been able to take advantage of some of the more complex statistical capabilities when analyzing logs.""The SIEM is the most valuable feature of the product.""My favorite example of improving of organization is saving a $60k/mo in payroll fraud and $10k/mo in wasted API credits by using simple searches and clear reports.""We can present to our management in real time the security of the batch management for the PCs, security regarding the network equipment. We're currently working in the Azure Cloud project, so we can send any logs from the cloud to Splunk. We can monitor them and we can present to the managers and customers. It's a very good solution for reporting. We use Splunk for reporting and monitoring of any solution in the company.""The best part of Splunk Enterprise Security is its customizable settings.""The most valuable feature is the log aggregation, being able to scan through all of the logs."

Cons
"We ran into a couple of issues here and there with the baselines for the firmware and not having enough space on the appliance itself to be able to have more than two baselines.""Technical support is not very good. The engineers do not know a lot about the product, even when asked simplistic questions.""HPE OneView should be able to cover more device models apart from ProLiant and Synergy.""Those features, coming in version 4, that we're looking for are the discovery, primarily. But I think the scope-based access control is of interest, although, we didn't see any directory integration, so that, in itself, seems like it's still limited.""It's a little slow sometimes. Overall, I think it does what it's supposed to do. I think that as they evolve it, it'll get quicker.""The speed and performance of the solution are areas where the product lacks and needs improvement.""We have a version 3 and a version 1.2, but the upgrade process from the 1.2 to the 3 is kind of an issue.""The network configuration part of HPE OneView needs improvement. The solution has way too many features, and there's a need for proper configuration indicators to be put in place."

More HPE OneView Cons →

"The cluster environment should be improved. We have a cluster. In the Splunk cluster environment, in the case of heavy searches and heavy load, the Splunk cluster goes down, and we have to put it in the maintenance mode to get it back. We are not able to find the actual culprit for this issue. I know that cluster has RF and SF, but it has been down so many times. There should be something in Splunk to help users to find the reason and the solution for such issues.""It's difficult to set up initially, and their billing model is also a bit complicated.""Free-floating panels in the dashboards are like a glass table.""While Splunkbase (the app repository) has a lot of great content, some apps are terribly old and could stand to be updated or purged.""The monitoring aspect of Splunk could be improved. We have to do some queries to get as much information as CrowdStrike or other solutions provide. If you run a big query, you will see a delay. That is the only concern we have because it will take some time if you query large data sets.""I would like to see ability to master management. In terms of clustering, how it manages clustering needs improvement."". Having a trial version or more training on Splunk would be helpful.""Considering the contract thing and the whole legal area, it takes forever to get the contracts signed and to be able to agree to the terms and conditions for my company as well as for Splunk's team."
