We performed a comparison between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics AX based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two ERP solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Microsoft Dynamic 365 has everything we need, like Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc. I do a lot of data visualization, so I work a lot with Power BI. I bring in tables from Oracle and use Power Bi to manipulate and visualize the data. I handle all the stats and track everything that goes in and out of the company. We use all the modules, but I work primarily with Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. They are all equally important and work together."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is its ease of use, data customization, and smooth integration."
"The selling feature is the most valuable."
"The solution has good dashboard functionalities and export functionalities."
"We like the manufacturing and case management modules."
"The most important feature of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is that it lets us centralize all our information so that we don't need to rely on any other software outside of Microsoft."
"For me, the main strengths of Microsoft Dynamics NAV are that it's user-friendly and light. These are its major wins. I have used other ERPs and their architecture were a little more complex when compared to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV architecture."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is cloud accessibility."
"There's a moderate amount of scalability available."
"It is flexible and cost-effective."
"The stability is very good."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft Dynamics AX are ease of use and performance."
"It is stable, suitable for businesses, and covers all business needs."
"Supply Chain Management is an excellent feature."
"In terms of features, GP offers a wide range of strong capabilities, particularly in the financial module."
"It was an okay solution when we delivered hardware and we had to do maintenance."
"Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has been buggy in my experience and they should improve in this area. Additionally, there are too many updates. The updates involve a whole bunch of applications as part of the package, such as the Edge browser. The updates are too broad across the whole package of applications."
"I would like to improve the tool’s reporting and coding part."
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV could be improved in terms of exporting income statements and balance sheets. Currently, there is a feature, but you can only have the last three years. I spent some time trying to improve the KPI portion that exports the data, that already calculates the sub forms or subtotals, but they weren't able to break that up into different dimensions. They've now managed to crowd the separate table and you can export that, but it's only for the last three years. So, they could improve this solution by getting the chart of accounts or the account schedules to be exported, where you can go further than just three years with it."
"The UI is not particularly user-friendly and the CRM could do with some enhancements."
"In the next release, I would like to see a quality check module - Navision doesn't have one, and the industry very much requires it."
"The formulas in Power BI could be simpler. Sometimes, it's difficult to figure them out, but I am part of a lot of communities that work with us, so we help each other."
"Customization and costs could be improved."
"There is room for improvement in the ability to reverse or correct transactions more easily."
"The product must be made accessible online."
"There is no Arabic interface in Microsoft Business Central, which is a big weak point."
"There are so many errors."
"The manufacturing module in GP is quite basic, and those who require more advanced manufacturing capabilities often turn to third-party modules or tools."
"The database requires a huge CPU and memory resources."
"The initial setup can be complex at times and has room for improvement."
"At times there are issues related to reporting, sometimes with the integration between two or three modules, and sometimes to the logic itself."
"The UI has room for improvement and can be more user-friendly."
