We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Allows us to use it the way we need to instead of changing our needs and processes to fit the product.""We've set up Jira integration and used robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline various processes, like procurement and invoicing. Some processes still require manual approval, like supplier invoices, but we're simplifying those too. We're also exploring integrating with other tools like Power BI for better data analytics and reporting. Currently, our automation focuses on general tasks, not document understanding or anything complex like that.""Embedded business intelligence is a valuable feature. There is also no need to wait for extract functions, and each transaction is reflected in the system dashboards in real time.""Utilizes best practices that are simple to implement.""The ability to customize it to create custom fields that are reportable, and then to be able to write script behind it to automate other processes that might otherwise be manual is great.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software.""NetSuite is a great solution, fast to bring up and makes everyone's life easier.""The executive dashboards have satisfied the founders and leadership with up to the minute information. This allows them to make high level decisions."

"As we have been using this for the past nine years we have had the opportunity to explore the product. Really everything has worked well and all the modules are very good.""The technical ability to run runtime APIs is great.""Everyone in the company is quite used to the Oracle functionality.""Great finance modules and customization.""Oracle EBS adapts to our business rules, so we don't have to change them, whereas SAP is rigid. We need to change our business rules to implement SAP. Oracle's reporting is also excellent and it's easier for our technical team to customize the solution compared to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and other products.""It is a very consistent product on IBM. There is also a lot of knowledge data.""The financial module has excellent features that many find valuable, while the HCM module is also highly regarded.""Financial reconciliation and reporting."

Cons
"Some entities are not available for multiple subsidiaries, which requires duplication.""There is not a 20 year pedigree of pharma experience in the NetSuite channel. While there are many of these CMO Pharma companies rapidly moving to NetSuite, there are few consultants with true pharma experience. Those who have experience are stretched pretty thin.""In NetSuite OneWorld, what needs improvement is the production planning functionality.""The Project Management User Interface is lacking.""Certain analytics features are missing that I've come to expect from other systems. Additionally, there are occasional issues with data accuracy that need to be addressed. Overall, deeper analytics capabilities would greatly improve the tool's usefulness for me.""I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Core.""If you were to use standard costs, it doesn't handle standard costs well.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software."

"It's difficult for some customers to understand in the beginning. A user really has to understand the processes.""We don't like Oracle EBS because it is very old. Nowadays, all the systems are on the cloud and web-based. With Oracle EBS, you need a huge setup before installing it. You need a lot of servers. There are a lot of problems and bugs in the system. We have to move from Oracle EBS to another system. In terms of improvements, it can have better training for end users and better support.""The way things are going, Oracle is not putting much effort into their master data management. They need to look into machine data and then the integrated data domain.""User interface is outdated and not user friendly.""Movement to the cloud should be supported. Product support still needs to be improved.""In the future, Oracle E-Business Suite could improve by having a better UI. Competitors are providing much better interfaces.""There are some business-specific processes still not implemented.""It should be made a little bit more user friendly. When I complete my implementation and hand it over to the clients or the person who will operate it on a day-to-day basis, they find it a little bit difficult because they are not from a highly qualified IT background. I want Oracle to make it a little bit more user friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Consider the roles of the employees who will use NetSuite and identify any groups who will only utilize the employee center. These licenses are cheaper and will reduce costs significantly."
  • "Measure twice, cut once."
  • "Good solution for the price, but hire a skilled project manager to handle the technical setup."
  • "Do not try to go it alone. Get a consultant who has been there and listens."
  • "NetSuite offers a great many advantages, including a cost of about third of the traditional pharma manufacturing ERP packages."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld is much less expensive for a very small to medium-sized business. Still, when you grow into an enterprise-level company, the price increases, but as long as you plan and know that going in, it's manageable."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld has fair pricing. It was not very expensive, so price-wise, I'm rating it as five out of ten."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld tends to be pricey. The decision to allocate a budget for this solution ultimately rests with the management and negotiating team, and I am not typically included in these discussions. Nonetheless, the information I've received leads me to believe that it is a costly platform. There are not any additional costs that I am aware of."

    Reviews from Real Users:

Kopano R., Freelancer at a tech services company, says, “What I found most valuable in Oracle E-Business Suite is the patching because it is straightforward. As long as you follow Oracle's best practices, you are able to finish the task of patching without a problem. I like that it's also easy to add products, e.g. if you want to add on financials, you can, or if you don't have financials, you can expand on that. I like that Oracle E-Business Suite is really scalable.”

Mohammed G., Senior Oracle Application Consultant at a comms service provider, writes, “Oracle E-Business Suite consists of a lot of streams, such as financial and HR processes of the enterprise companies. We are using most of the Oracle financial modules, and we have an Oracle stream, FI procurement stream, and HR streams, which have a lot of applications. Oracle E-Business Suite has over 20 different modules to choose from, it is comprehensive. Additionally, the integration is very good. “
