Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Having a single sign-on to all our applications.""The most valuable features depend on a customer's needs. Our customers generally find multi-factor authentication very useful.""Workforce Identity offers a comprehensive access management solution with multi-factor authentication, total control, and features like app access management, identity governance, and administration tools such as certification and access request management. These are typically found in identity management solutions, but Okta integrates them seamlessly into its user interface.""Its simplicity and its integration with various vendor-agnostic platforms are the most valuable features.""This solution has a lot of capabilities and features.""The solution can scale very well.""A solution that's easy to use, stable, and reliable.""The product’s most valuable feature is multifactor authentication."

"The ZPA is a unique feature which offers VPN along with all the additional security needed.""The most valuable features of Zscaler Private Access are reliability, scalability, and availability.""SASE's most valuable features are proxy and content filtering.""It is easy to use.""It does the job. What it is needed for. I can use it for VPN, I can use it for secure connections, I can use it as a firewall. So the solution does the job.""The most valuable features are the File Type Control and SSL bypass policies. We""With SASE, we have a single platform that covers multiple task services with which we need to control access. All the features are equally valuable.""The best feature is the ability to establish the connection between your public network and automatically connect to the intranet connection."

Cons
"The solution is very expensive.""The solution’s policies are difficult to understand due to the policy methods. They use authentication. The solution’s workflow is also difficult and not very active. They need to have proper documentation on it. In the next release, I would like to see the workflows being more digestible.""A room for improvement in Okta Workforce Identity is its price. It could be cheaper. The biggest benefit of the solution is that everything works securely without extra steps, so you're saving on your workforce's time and effort because your applications work smoothly and securely, but you'd need to pay some amount of money for that. Another area that could be improved, though not necessarily regarding Okta Workforce Identity, is the SSO applications because so many of the source applications charge extra money to put the SSO to work, which means you have to buy a more expensive license. Nowadays, SSO is a mainstream functionality and it should be out-of-the-box in those applications because it's so easy to set up.""There should be automated aggregation and complete classification processes included in it.""The solution lacks an on-premises deployment model so it can't offer a hybrid solution. It would be ideal if clients had options that weren't just cloud-based.""Okta Workforce Identity could improve the way passwords are reset and how it interfaces with Microsoft.""It only facilitates provisioning and not de-provisioning.""They should focus on improving them to provide top-notch team access management while still offering those typical features."

More Okta Workforce Identity Cons →

"There could be more DLP-related features. Additionally, there needs to be flexibility for integrating ISP features.""We faced certain migration and implementation challenges in executing the tasks, so I would suggest improvement related to the stability of the solution.""We'd like to have two-factor authentication that is quite simple.""I can't speak to any missing features.""It has massive room for improvement. The Zscaler product itself is okay, but it doesn't give enough granularity for us as an organization to stipulate rules or processes, especially for data-driven services. For instance, we can stick on SSL inspection, but it's just a click box. It doesn't allow us to go any further into the detail of the SSL inspection. We also can't pull it out without having an additional logging server. It just doesn't give us enough granularity. They should give us more control over the interfaces because it is all backend. They weren't very open to discussing their backend architecture with us in terms of their own data centers. They can maybe a little bit more open about what components are there and how the backend infrastructure works alongside Zscaler. Its licensing can be better. Some of the additional licensing costs are quite high, and they should have certain features ready and available as a baseline rather than having to purchase additional licenses for it. Their support should also be improved. I initially had a consultant from Zscaler for its deployment, but the support that I had throughout the deployment of the project wasn't the best.""There is some issue while accessing the portal. It takes too long.""It would be better if the Zscaler Private Access team made it easier for people to find subscriptions on the portal, mainly information on what my customers subscribed to or the type of licenses purchased.""The granularity in blocking is not sufficient, as new domains are automatically blocked for 30 days without further information."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It could be a bit too pricey for small companies. Okta Workforce Identity can add a lot of benefits, but smaller companies may not have a lot of applications that need to be managed by Okta Workforce Identity. In addition to standard licensing fees, there are also additional costs for things"
