We performed a comparison between OpenText Robotic Process Automation and UiPath based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about UiPath, Microsoft, Automation Anywhere and others in Robotic Process Automation (RPA)."It lets us automate almost anything, even with the legacy tools. It is very easy for us now to automate with legacy tools, which used to be difficult earlier. We work with a lot of other automation tools from Micro Focus, such as Operation Orchestration, but these tools can only connect to the API. So, there was a gap when we wanted to automate older and legacy tools that didn't have any API to connect to. We can now also automate without any changes in the customer environment. We don't need to change anything in the way that the customer environment works."
"Orchestrator and features such as Queues Triggers are helpful in monitoring the ports and looking after the performance."
"The most valuable feature is Studio, which allows developers to specifically focus on development."
"Stability-wise, it's really good. When it comes to backend automation, it's amazing."
"UiPath has helped reduce human error. We are working with clients where it is very important to provide them their necessary services. We are a telecom company, so we are providing activation of numbers, etc. If people are doing this manually, it can cause inconveniences for our clients, but it might also put the reputation at stake. For example, because when people do it manually, they can send out the wrong invoice. This is a huge reputation risk, because sometimes we are working not only with just a person, but with a business. When we work with other companies, it is important to do things accurately. When the robots do things, there is almost a 100% probability that they won't make any mistakes, like typos."
"UiPath allows people to do more value-added work. I found that we were able to take a person well versed in access programming and convert them to be an RPA developer with relative ease."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the training that is available."
"UiPath is user-friendly."
"The object cloning in UiPath is a lot more consistent than Automation Anywhere. The consistency with which it captures the information that it's supposed to in order to do the rest of the process is probably the most useful component of the tool package."
"It currently supports only on-premises deployments. They can include support for cloud deployments. It should provide us the ability to choose a robot for executing a workflow. We want to control which robot executes a certain workflow. Right now, it automatically chooses the robot that is going to execute our workflow. It should also provide the ability to get filters on the outputs of the steps. We have each workflow as a step, and each step has some output. We would like to have the functionality to execute some script or some logic on these outputs to format the tests directly on the variables."
"They recently addressed a major problem of kick-off processes for the integration function. That addressed a lot of the community concerns around that. If you are using queues, their queue system isn't as reliable as I would like it to be."
"We would like to know the prerequisites when installing bots."
"The error handling is in need of improvement. We'd had a problem tracking when errors occur, and troubleshooting how things are captured in production."
"UiPath is limited to one application at a time and cannot process two applications simultaneously."
"Orchestrator can be improved by making the landing page dashboard customizable based on what information and stats we want to see as an organization."
"There are some functionality limitations on UiPath that we could have access to on different platforms."
"In terms of performance, sometimes it slows down when the internet connectivity is poor. They need to optimize it a little."
"The stability of the bots could be improved. The bots could be expanded to have more objects already prebuilt."
