We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is scalable for DDoS.""It gives us a report of traffic. It gives us a report of the day-to-day URL traffic, and it also gives an individual report. If we reach out to Akamai, they give us the IPs as well.""The support that we got from their technical team has been fantastic. I have never experienced this level of support from other CDN providers.""I can attest to its benefits in terms of understanding and mitigating threats...The solution's technical support team seems to be pretty responsive.""The most valuable feature is the DDoS protection, which is the main reason we got it.""We are getting security for each and every API.""The most valuable feature is the custom rules feature. This is because many of our customers require a lot of custom rules. Because it's a very customized project for our customers, I think they have the best of everything already.""Traffic filtering and WAF are valuable."

"The integration it has with GitHub is great.""We have found the most valuable features to be the web application, minimal skills required for management, control through policies, and automation.""Azure WAF is extremely stable.""It's a good option if you want a solution that's ready to go and easy for your team to learn. It's cloud-based, so you don't need to buy or maintain any hardware infrastructure.""The initial setup is easy and straightforward...Azure Web Application Firewall is a scalable product.""It has been a stable product in my experience.""It's quite a stable product and works well with Microsoft products.""The solution has good dashboards."

Cons
"It would be better if there weren't any issues with latency. We had latency issues, but I think they are all solved now.""The solution could offer even more integrations.""Akamai needs to focus on quickly responding to risks, even those that may potentially be of zero threat..Maybe some of the documentation is a little confusing. They have a lot of different places where you can go to get information, and some of the information is quite out of date.""The custom rules must be improved.""One area where Akamai can improve is the captcha part. Cloudflare provides a captcha if there are a certain number of threats. For example, I can assign that if there are 10 requests within a second from a single IP, it should send a captcha to the user. The user should fill in the captcha, and only after that, the user should be able to access our website. This captcha feature should be built into Bot Manager. I love this captcha feature of Cloudflare.""I do not see any area for improvement. Akamai is already maintaining its own databases for the security concerns, vulnerabilities, and attacks that are there. If anything, they should have a solution in the infrastructure security area as well. They should not be only in cloud cybersecurity; they should also be in infrastructure security.""One thing I asked them is to integrate the API discovery product that they have and push that data into Akamai App and API Protector so that we do not have two types of reviews to identify the type of traffic. We already know the APIs that are frequently getting used, so analysis becomes easier. We can integrate both products and use them.""The performance of the cloud monitoring tool is low."

"The support for proxy forwarding could improve.""In Brazil, we have some problems with the phone service that affect our connection with the cloud. However, it isn't common.""The documentation needs to be improved.""I would say that Azure's customer service is not that good...I am not very happy with the support offered.""Azure WAF should not be deployed in the middle of the traffic.""The management can be improved.""There is a need to be able to configure the solution more.""Deployment should be simplified so that a non-techie can handle it."
