We performed a comparison between AlgoSec and RedSeal based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about AlgoSec, Tufin, Palo Alto Networks and others in Firewall Security Management."It is very useful for PCI DSS compliance."
"We now process FCRs much faster, which helps us to deliver faster and implement reworks at a quicker rate."
"It also provides very good visibility into the risk involved in firewall change requests and that is very important to us."
"We have critical security policies. With AlgoSec, we can create a security policy to manage critical applications. I have worked in the bank and they have critical applications. We created some security policies for those applications. Controlling the flow is critical for our customers."
"R&D patches to address issues that I have encountered have been timely and effective."
"It helps in regulatory compliance metrics and overall firewall security optimization."
"Being able to analyze the environment and audit firewall configuration is most valuable. We are working here in the oil sector, and it's a critical environment. Every six months we have auditors coming from the main office and doing auditing for security. We are using AlgoSec Analyzer to help us to do the audit before the auditors come to our office and do the auditing of our security devices. So, it's helping us to do good work and analyze all security devices, including firewalls."
"We can easily make our firewall flow change requests using the web interface."
"RedSeal integrates the network and gives us a visual or graphical overview of our network. If an organization is geographically dispersed, for instance, with one office in Canada and one office in the Philippines, the whole network, including all devices, is integrated into RedSeal, and you can see from where the traffic is going in and out."
"The most valuable features are network mapping and configuration."
"This is the only solution in the world that gives you a digital resilience score."
"Initially, we found this as a complex deployment."
"I would like to seem improvements in performance and software stability."
"The pricing for smaller installations should be lowered because sometimes there is just no ROI to add AlgoSec to the small branch offices with only 10 rules."
"I would like to see Bi-Directional API support in order to integrate with SOAR platforms that provide SOC automation and IRR."
"Introducing greater flexibility in editing alerts would be a highly appreciated improvement."
"The product is severely lacking in vendor support."
"More scope for editing alerts would be a welcome change."
"Some features require a learning curve and may necessitate support from AlgoSec, which can be challenging at times."
"Sometimes, it required us to refresh the configuration. When we integrated any of the configurations into the device, sometimes, it could not detect the exact picture of that device. So, we had to reset the device to see that if it was giving true-positive results or false-positive results. In some cases, we were not able to get true-positive results. There was some kind of bug in that version. Its interface is not user-friendly and needs to be improved. It takes time to understand the interface and various options. Skybox has quite a user-friendly interface. They could provide a feature for compliance audit policy if it is already not there. A compliance audit policy ensures that all configurations are based on the best practices standards, such as CIS benchmarks standard or other similar standards. It provides visibility about whether your device configuration is based on best practices or not. Usually, such a feature is provided by other solutions such as Meteor or Tenable Nessus."
"The dashboard should be improved to make correlating data easier to do."
"One of the areas of concern is the GUI. It is important to our customers that the GUI looks beautiful. It's a Java Client, so you have a Java dependency."
