Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"Ability to see end to end user, application, server, and network response time and throughput data.""It provides us with complete visibility of every packet.""With some APM solutions, it can take a long time to check a periodic report, but you can get all the necessary details quickly with AppResponse.""The most valuable feature is performance monitoring.""We really like the scalability capabilities.""AppResponse is a total solution that gives you end-to-end visibility into applications at all levels, from Layer 1 to Layer 7. We can trace all those sections: physical, IP, transport, presentation, application, etc. It gives us the full picture.""When it comes to the ability to scale up the product, this is suitable for small medium and large environments,""I have found the AppResponse, which is a packet capture solution, very good. It gives you the ability to drill down back in time. You've got all the packets there. You can troubleshoot it later, not immediately. It's very interesting."

More Alluvio AppResponse Pros →

"There is a problems page that shows us every warning or problem that occurs on our VMs globally. The map screen is also really useful because this is something that was missing. I don't know every other tool in the market. So, I don't know if this is a good point of only Zabbix, or other tools are also doing it, but from my point of view, this is the most useful page that I use, along with the problems page that efficiently lists the problem, recovery time, ending hours, starting hours, and so on.""Every new asset placed in the environment can be automatically detected, predicting human failures.""The implementation process is very straightforward.""I really enjoy network traffic triggers that allow us to check traffic threshold from ISP.""The solution is stable.""It has an intuitive UI with beautiful graphs and customizable maps.""The most valuable feature is the alert and alarm monitoring.""Zabbix can use old data to current data to set the threshold. We can use previous data to set the threshold."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The AI features should be addressed in respect of the analysis and intelligence that must be supported and delivered in the tool to predigest the large amounts of data.""The initial setup is straightforward, but you have to know a little about the product. It's not for everybody to just plug and play. If you know how the solution is implemented then it is straightforward.""Technical support needs to be more responsive.""Need to bring back the NetFlow module for AppResponse.""The pricing is on the higher side of things. If they could lower it, that would be ideal.""If Alluvio AppResponse reduces its cost, it will be more beneficial for customers to monitor their application and network performance.""Alluvio AppResponse should improve its ability to expand across multiple operating systems.""Integration between NPM and APM solutions would improve efficiency. There is no agent on the server site related to AppResponse."

More Alluvio AppResponse Cons →

"We had some scalability issues with a large number of nodes.""There are not too much documentation or manuals. We found the tutorials very easy to understand but do not go deep enough in the use of Zabbix. We need more manuals, proper use, documentation, etc.""In terms of user-friendliness, large maps could be more interactive. We should be able to click on some areas and move some objects. It would make it simpler to see things while analyzing some dedicated parameters.""Zabbix is not easy to configure, and upgrading is also an issue.""Zabbix does not draw automatic mapping of the network, this is something they should add in the future. There is a lot of effort that is involved in tailoring some of the settings which could be made easier.""To improve Zabbix, adding more features to support the monitoring of modern workloads like containers would be beneficial.""Sometimes, the documentation is a little bit written in Estonia – a country in Europe. The language barrier and translation to English can sometimes make it difficult to understand what they're trying to get at. It's just a language thing.""Zabbix is powerful, but it is difficult to understand initially. There are many things that can be improved, but we might not be using Zabbix to its fullest extent. The software has more features than we need."

I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want using these, but they require quite some expertise before you can use them. Then there are the ones that are not open source, the enterprise softwares and cost you some money, but on the other hand, they are extremely easy to set-up and learn. You can have them up and running in a matter of minutes. And then there are those which are completely cloud based. They can be free of cost or charge some money depending on the software. The good thing about these is that you don’t have to install any extra software, and it can be managed completely online but then again these have limited features and you cannot exploit them to the full extent as you can do with the open-source and to some extent the enterprise software, so I won’t suggest you to use these, because these are generally not the complete solutions and require other support software to achieve the same. Below I have listed the outstanding pros and cons of the various Network analyzers that you can look into Nagios Pros: Nagios offers an extensive set of collector plug-ins that allows users to gather performance and availability data from a broad range of operating systems, including  Windows and Netware Nagios… Read more →
