We performed a comparison between ARIS Architect and Designer and Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Business Process Design solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most important feature is ARIS's ability to turn a process design into data to analyze anything you want. For example, we have some analysis reports in ARIS that can guide us when we want to change a system. It shows us how this change will affect all of the organization's processes."
"One of the most valuable features is how user-friendly ARIS is, compared to other BPM tools. This tool has very diverse types of assets available. ARIS also has a lot of customizable options, different model types, object types, a number of attributes, and a lot of customization is possible. In comparison, Signavio is very limited in terms of model types and object types. So these customizations ARIS offers are really valuable to any client who wants to create a BPM repository."
"The user interface is easy to work with."
"The support team is very responsive."
"It's really fast. It's much faster compared to Enterprise Architect."
"We use the product for modeling, conducting process checks, doing process flow, running, and analyzing the report."
"The features I find most valuable is the ability to create a document and then put it into a OneCare artifact."
"For the most part, we find that it is remarkable how inexpensive it is."
"The system provides powerful tools for obtaining reports and documentation."
"Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect supports multiple modeling languages like ArchiMate for database design, software lifecycle visualization, and team management."
"Features good reporting facilities coupled with a concrete database."
"The company has become more efficient and reduced its budget."
"Its traversability is most valuable. I can use ArchiMate, and I can create a UML model. ArchiMate is for logical enterprise architecture, UML is for software engineering, and BPMN is for business processes. I can build it to have multiple models, and they are also traversable, which is not something that every tool allows. If there is a huge organization, you can segment it and have separate models for business technology or internal resource management system. You don't need to keep them in one model, and you can decide to segregate them."
"Ability to maintain cross-references for all models in all levels - great tractability."
"The product is not flexible."
"You can have a collaboration feature, but it's necessary to have ARIS Connect which is a separate, costly product."
"We face problems when the product's capacity is increased."
"The support team takes a long time to respond to our queries."
"This product could be improved by lowering the licensing cost. More organizations could use ARIS if they slashed the licensing costs even a little bit."
"The simulation part still has some way to go. It's a good feature, and it's something that other vendors don't have right now, but it can still be improved. Some features are needed in ARIS Architect, so advanced users can do things through drag-and-drop functionality."
"The elements of the modeling sets can have better customization and visual representation. It would be great to have a mobile version."
"It would be great if we could decrease the use of different parts of the Toolbox."
"They should make the Save button easier to find. A simplified user interface for a lighter user would probably be useful. I am not sure if such an interface is already there."
"The templates for documentation should be enhanced to include complex documents such as template RFP, or Non functional requirements template."
"The window froze for five or ten seconds. You can click and click again and it takes a second to come up. It might have been specific to a version."
"The solution's interface could be more straightforward."
"The areas of improvement should be focused on utility service such as producing better graphics, perhaps having a wider image library set and producing better models for working directly with customers."
"The dashboard and connectivity could be improved."
