We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product's initial setup phase was super easy.""The initial setup is super easy.""It is a very good and stable solution...With AvePoint's support, our experience has been exceptional""The recovery options in Microsoft 365 are not adequate and it does not help to recover data from the recycle bin that is older than 90 days. The solution has made us more efficient and helps to recover data that is older than 90 days.""The most promising feature of the product is data security policies, which make it simpler to include compliance processes.""It is the best product in the market for Office 365 backup, and our customers are satisfied with it.""It is the only product in the market that offers platform backup.""The most valuable features are the email backup and the SharePoint backup."

"It's incredibly fast.""We get control over authentication policies and create an agentless backup by generating a token for that.""The tool has good features. The backup is also accurate.""You don't need a certified administrator to manage this product.""Druva inSync is very easy to use.""One of the most valuable features is it is available on the cloud, so I do not need to make a firewall. Second, the backup speed is outstanding. The third thing is that the section policy is very good and gives you a lot of flexibility and granularity regarding what you need to back up.""If you are looking for a backup solution, go with Druva because it's quite simple.""All the data is well encrypted. In addition, the data is split into pieces so that if an endpoint is attacked or compromised with any kind of ransomware, the compromised machine can be relocated or restored. All the data that was previously backed up can be restored from the cloud. It has a lot of security features. Druva currently offers only the cloud version on AWS. Being a cloud solution, Druva goes by a lot of security compliances and provides a security portfolio. People are very skeptical of the data security in cloud solutions, and Druva has given consideration to that. It has some good geo-location features. If a machine is lost, when the machine is switched on and connected to the internet, that machine can be geo-located and tracked. It also has got the geo-wipeout feature. If someone tries to take out the data from a lost machine, they won't be able to do that. The moment an IT admin comes to know that the machine is no longer with a user, he or she can auto-run the geo-wipeout feature so that the data cannot be read by any third party. Duality replication is a unique thing about this solution. Everybody's data is not backed up if the data is common. Similar data is not backed up from other machines. The data backup also happens very smoothly. The bandwidth choking is very less. When the data is getting backed up, the users do not even get to know. There is no impact even when the users are not using high-speed bandwidth."

Cons
"The restoration could be faster.""It is challenging for small or medium-sized businesses to purchase it.""The component in the product that can be improved revolves around the area where the tool should focus on providing more of a custom touch to the policies.""It would be beneficial to have a more optimal Google Backup for larger environments.""I would like to see improvements in the tool's initial seed. The initial seed of around 10 TB of SharePoint data took 45 days to complete.""For improvement, AvePoint can provide details on how the tool's backup scope works.""It is not a traditional restore process and it is somewhat limited in what we can do.""Some customers choose other backup solutions because AvePoint is Office 365 and CRM backup system, but they have other backup needs for Azure and so on. Such customers often choose another backup solution instead of AvePoint."

More AvePoint Cloud Backup Cons →

"This solution would benefit from the inclusion of an on-premise backup feature, as currently, they are offering everything in the cloud.""The backup time is very poor. The backup runs continuously. It goes on from morning till night. The system performance also becomes very poor when Druva inSync is running.""The solution takes a lot of time during restoration.""The product needs to improve its support.""The speed could be better.""I would like to see security improved in the next release.""The user quota is an area that needs to be improved.""It would be good if bare metal backups were possible."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I am not sure, but I believe that the cost is $7 USD per user."
  • "It is very good for many of my customers in the banking and finance segments. The price isn't a problem there, but in some other industries, people ask for a cheaper solution. When the price is an issue for the customer, we recommend Veeam, Metallic."
  • "The pricing part of the solution is based on a subscription model, which is based on the number of users or storage capacity."
  • "It costs a little bit more than other competitors in the market."
  • "The platform is more expensive than other vendors."
  • "I would say that the pricing policy of the product is flexible and good."

  • "The price is quite good, It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
  • "It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
  • "It is an expensive product for the middle class or SMB customers in India. A lot of top-level big companies also cannot afford this solution. During the license period, one can download the entire data from the cloud without paying any additional cost. This way the data can be easily recreated from the stored data when a machine is lost or the data is compromised."
  • "Out of all the solutions we evaluated, Druva inSync was the most affordable."
  • "The pricing of Druva inSync is very high as compared to other cloud backup solutions."
  • "The pricing is thirty-five dollars per year or three dollars per month per user."
