We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Currently, our organization utilizes AWS for various purposes, including SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and hosting applications in the cloud. We develop our applications and use AWS services as a platform for basic functions and secondary development needs. Additionally, we rely on PaaS for accounting services. Approximately, 50% of our applications are hosted in the cloud environment, making it a significant part of our current setup.""It's a security posture management tool from AWS. Basically, it identifies misconfigurations, similar to Trusted Advisor but on a larger scale.""The most valuable feature of AWS Security Hub is the ability to track when monitoring is not enabled on any of my resources.""The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that it is easy to manage...It is a scalable solution.""The best feature of AWS Security Hub is that you can get compliance or your cloud's current security posture.""I find all of the features to be highly valuable.""Very good at detection and providing real-time alerts.""The platform has valuable features for security."

"It is very straightforward. It is not complicated. For the information that it provides, it does a pretty good job.""It's positively affected the communication between cloud security, application developers, and AppSec teams.""I did a lot of research before signing up and doing the demo. They have a good reputation as far as catching threats early on.""The dashboard gives me an overview of all the things happening in the product, making it one of the tool's best features.""PingSafe has a dashboard that can detect the criticality of a particular problem, whether it falls under critical, medium, or low vulnerability.""We liked the search bar in PingSafe. It is a global search. We were able to get some insights from there.""The multi-cloud support is valuable. They are expanding to different clouds. It is not restricted to only AWS. It allows us to have different clouds on one platform.""The user interface is well-designed and easy to navigate."

Cons
"The telemetry doesn't always go into the control center. When you have multiple instances running in AWS, you need a control tower to take feeds from Security Hub and analyze your results. Sometimes exemptions aren't passed between the control tower and Security Hub. The configuration gets mixed up or you don't get the desired results.""The solution should be easier to learn and use""The support must be quicker.""One aspect that could be improved in the solution is its adaptability to different markets and geopolitical restrictions. In certain regions like Thailand, specific services from certain countries or providers, such as AWS or Azure, might be limited or blocked. It also needs improvement in would require configuring the solution more adaptable to AWS infrastructure and function.""Security needs to be measured based on their own criteria. We can't add custom criteria specific to our organization. For example, having an S3 bucket publicly available might be flagged as a critical alert, but it might not be critical in a sandbox environment. So, it gets flagged as critical, which becomes a false positive. So, customization options and creating custom dashboards would be areas for improvement.""The user interface, graphs, and dashboards of the solution could improve in the future. They are not very sophisticated and could use an update.""Adding SIEM features would be beneficial because of the limited customization of AWS Security Hub.""It is not flexible for multi-cloud environments."

"I would like PingSafe to add real-time detection of vulnerabilities and cloud misconfigurations.""When you find a vulnerability and resolve it, the same issue will not occur again. I want PingSafe to block the same vulnerability from appearing again. I want something like a playbook where the steps that we take to resolve an issue are repeated when that issue happens again.""The recommended actions aren't always specific, so it might suggest recommendations that don't apply to the particular infrastructure code I'm reviewing.""While it is good, I think the solution's console could be improved.""In terms of ease of use, initially, it is a bit confusing to navigate around, but once you get used to it, it becomes easier.""here is a bit of a learning curve. However, you only need two to three days to identify options and get accustomed.""I export CSV. I cannot export graphs. Restricting it to the CSV format has its own disadvantages. These are all machine IP addresses and information. I cannot change it to the JSON format. The export functionality can be improved.""The Automation tab is an add-on that doesn’t work properly. They provide a list of scripts that don’t work and I have asked support to assist but they won’t help. When running on various endpoints the script doesn’t work and if it does, it’s only a couple. There are a lot of useful scripts that would be beneficial to run forensics, event logs, and process lists running on the endpoint."
