Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I really like the recording because when I use the JMeter the scripting a lot of recording it takes me a lot of time to get used to. The BlazeMeter the recording is quick.""It has helped us simulate heavy load situations so we can fix performance issues ahead of time.""The feature that stands out the most is their action groups. They act like functions or methods and code, allowing us to reuse portions of our tests. That also means we have a single point for maintenance when updates are required. Instead of updating a hundred different test cases, we update one action group, and the test cases using that action group will update.""For me, the best part is that we can graphically see the test result at runtime. It helps us understand the behavior of the application during all stages of the test.""The most valuable features of the solution stem from the fact that BlazeMeter provides easy access to its users while also ensuring that its reporting functionalities are good.""The orchestration feature is the most valuable. It's like the tourist backend component of BlazeMeter. It allows me to essentially give BlazeMeter multiple JMeter scripts and a YAML file, and it will orchestrate and execute that load test and all those scripts as I define them.""Using cloud-based load generators is highly valuable to us, as we can test from outside our network and increase load generation without having to upscale our hardware as much. The cloud load generator is there when we need it and is the feature we leverage the most.""The on-the-fly test data improved our testing productivity a lot. The new test data features changed how we test the applications because there are different things we can do. We can use mock data or real data. We can also build data based on different formats."

"This product can work with QT applications and cross-cut from them on Windows or Mac.""I like the dashboard. It's virtual, and you can see the customer results. I can do it at night and in the morning. I think it also automatically emails results.""I find it very user-friendly and easy to start working with. The main benefit for me is that it allows testing applications developed in the Qt language. This capability makes Squish a game-changer, as it's the only tool I've found that enables automation for applications written in Qt. I appreciate three main aspects. Firstly, the documentation is excellent. Secondly, I value the way the tool efficiently locates elements during testing. These are the two aspects I particularly like.""froglogic Squish is one of the most desired solutions if you are having a Qt as a framework and if you are looking at GUI regression testing. froglogic is a part of Qt as a company."

Cons
"The product currently doesn't allow users to run parallel thread groups, making it an area that should be considered for improvement.""If the solution had better support and the documentation was efficient it would do better in the market.""Version controlling of the test cases and the information, the ability to compare the current version and the previous version within Runscope would be really nice. The history shows who made the changes, but it doesn't compare the changes.""The reporting capabilities could be improved.""I don't think I can generate a JMX file unless I run JMeter, which is one of my concerns when it comes to BlazeMeter.""I believe that data management and test server virtualization are things that Perforce is working on, or should be working on.""The seamless integration with mobiles could be improved.""The only downside of BlazeMeter is that it is a bit expensive."

More BlazeMeter Cons →

"I'm relatively new to Squish, so I'm not familiar with all its pros and cons. Currently, I haven't identified any specific improvements. However, one feature I miss is Git integration within the tool. In my previous experience with Selenium and Python in PyCharm, it was straightforward to create and review changes before pushing them. I haven't found a similar option in Squish, and having an integrated tool for managing conflicts would be beneficial in certain scenarios where collaboration is involved.""The price could be better.""There had been a lot of improvements with froglogic Squish already. There were some scenarios in which this particular solution was available in different flavors. They have pulled everything together in one solution. There were some monitoring systems, which were missing out from the solution earlier. They have a centralized dashboard for monitoring the test cases and their execution. It's a full-blown solution, there are not many glitches in terms of something missing out of the package.""ID could be improved with suggestions of names, variables or class."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The licensing fees are billed on a monthly basis and they cost approximately $100 for the basic plan."
  • "The solution is free and open source."
  • "The product isn't cheap, but it isn't the most expensive on the market. During our proof of concept, we discovered that you get what you pay for; we found a cheaper solution we tested to be full of bugs. Therefore, we are willing to pay the higher price tag for the quality BlazeMeter offers."
  • "The overall product is less costly than our past solutions, so we've absolutely saved money."
  • "It's consumption-based pricing but with a ceiling. They're called CVUs, or consumption variable units. We can use API testing, GUI testing, and test data, but everything gets converted into CVUs, so we are free to use the platform in its entirety without getting bogged down by a license for certain testing areas. We know for sure how much we are going to spend."
  • "My company has opted for a pay-as-you-go model, so we don't make use of the free version of the product."
  • "I rate the product's price two on a scale of one to ten, where one is very cheap, and ten is very expensive. The solution is not expensive."
  • "When compared with the cost of the licenses of other tools, BlazeMeter's license price is good."
  • More BlazeMeter Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The price could be better. I believe each developer license costs about 6000 or 7000 Euros per year."
  • "It is expensive."
