Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Has an APM, which deals with the details of data and has calculation functions included.""The most valuable feature of CCH Tagetik is form creation.""I appreciate its user-friendliness, especially for business users who may not be very tech-savvy.""I've primarily worked with CCH Tagetik as a consultant, handling implementations and not providing day-to-day user support. I initially appreciated the unified platform, the Ownership Structure Register, which benefits certain entities. The workflow feature is great, but it can become overly detailed and lacks clear guidance on design. The solution is good in terms of storage."

"The accuracy of data gathering and consolidation is very good.""Scalability is one of this solution's big plus points.""We have found there is excellent stability with Oracle Hyperion.""This is a customizable product. Our implementation was designed to fit our needs.""The stability is fine and quite user friendly.""Since it is an enterprise-capable solution, people are not worried about security, giving data, the ability to manage complex consolidation, and its ability to modify reporting.""Oracle Hyperion is an engine allowing you to build whatever you want on it.""The implementation has been simplified now that it's deployed in the cloud. Also, Hyperion is tightly integrated with Oracle products because Oracle owns it now."

Cons
"There is room for improvement, especially on the settings side of the solution.""The tool's major drawback is the ETL process, which is not up to par with other solutions.""Analytics function is weak. Other products have sum(irate) function and forecasting help function, but Tagetik does not have this clarity.""We faced difficulties while uploading data."

"We are still having some issues with the ASO Cube. It can take a long time to clear the data in the ASO Cube compared to BSO data-clearing operations. We don't have a specific calculation in the ASO, and we only have these aggregate options on the ASO side. If we need calculations, we have to calculate them in the BSO and pass the data to the ASO Cube for the reporting. That's one of the drawbacks. Oracle could also improve on the data logging side as well.""All the planning systems out there are great. It doesn't matter which company you use. They're all great. I've seen demonstrations on a number of them, but it all boils down to the culture within the organization itself to use that functionality, understand it, and help drive it. I've had Oracle salespeople do demonstrations, and it looked really good. We get it on board, and everybody still sticks to their Excel spreadsheets because companies are a lot more complex than what you could deliver on the planning system. So, there should be more education on the capabilities, and there should be more understanding of organizations in terms of the way they access the data in order to plan.""Oracle EPM Cloud solutions have simplified the security model. Nevertheless, it would be better having a more differentiated security model.""Sometimes Oracle Hyperion is slow when there are a lot of users using it. However, we can have up to approximately 300 users using it.""Oracle Hyperion generally it's quite a complex architecture that is hard to maintain.""I would like to see more integrations with third-party vendors such as BigSense and SAP. I'm looking forward to seeing more interface-related content.""From a technical perspective, the technical support could be improved and the price could be reduced.""The reporting feature in Oracle Hyperion isn't the best. It needs improvement."
