Pros
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable soltuion.""It's a reliable product and you know that it will work in the enterprise environment.""FabricPath's best features are routing, OSPS, ethernet, and performance.""We can also enhance our service line with disaster recovery.""As I mentioned earlier, the durability, flexibility, and security of Cisco devices are notable. Particularly with switches, the capability to implement multiple VLANs and easily aggregate the network has been advantageous. The ability to have different VLANs and aggregate the network without complications is a key feature of Cisco FabricPath.""The most valuable features are the lead time and the high quality of the product.""The technical assistance is good.""The tool makes it easy to manage multi-layer networking and increases network efficiency. I haven't faced any challenges in integrating it into our existing infrastructure."

They have a lot of other features ExtremeSwitching that you can get involved with but I haven't been using many of them.""It is meeting our expectations in terms of performance as well as cost-effectiveness.""They are good. We have been using them for about two years, and we are satisfied with their performance. For our network environment, these switches are working fine.""ExtremeSwitching is a good, stable platform.""The stability has been largely pretty good.""The solution has inspection firewalls that can do a deep packet inspection on a port basis.""Performance is good.""The performance of ExtremeSwitching is good."

Cons
"In terms of the series, I find that the integration with other teleconferencing applications needs to be more seamless. I have suggested to Cisco that the endpoint device should allow joining calls from Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other teleconferencing applications. Additionally, I appreciate the recent inclusion of breakout sessions in the Cisco Webex application, which enhances its relevance in the networking field.""The product lacks AI...The initial setup of Cisco FabricPath was a bit complex.""While Cisco products are excellent, the problem is the cost. Cisco products are product, Cisco products are very expensive. I rate Cisco FabricPath three out of 10 for affordability.""If Cisco can include management for this protocol in Layer 3, that would be ideal.""The cloud version of Cisco Fabric Path could be improved.""Layer 3 does not have higher availability.""The pricing could be adjusted to make it easier to sell to clients.""Cisco FabricPath's pricing is expensive."

More Cisco FabricPath Cons →

"Their pricing could be a bit cheaper, as Huawei switches offer better pricing.""It could be cheaper in general.""The solution as a whole has hardware quality issues.""The training and resources for learning are lacking.""ExtremeSwitching has many features but having come from Cisco environments, there is a steep learning curve to learning all the functionality.""ExtremeSwitching is scalable to a certain extent for SME-segmented IP.""The licensing is expensive.""ExtremeSwitching switches are not prevalent in the industry, so it's harder to go online and research how to deploy their APs or switches. There is a broader user community for Cisco and Juniper because they've been around for a while and everybody has a bit of knowledge they can publish online."
