Pros
"I used the tool to prepare for the interview as a Business Developer. It helped me improve my understanding on software security."

"The feature that we have found most valuable is that it comes with pre-set configurations. They have a set of predefined options where you can pick one and start scanning. We also have the option of creating our own configurations, like how often do the applications need to be scanned.""PortSwigger Burp Suite does not hamper the node of the server, and it does not shut down the server if it is running.""Some of the extensions, available using Burp Extender, are also very good and we have found issues by using them.""The reporting part is the most valuable. It also has very good features. We use almost all of the features for different kinds of customers and needs.""It's good testing software.""You can scan any number of applications and it updates its database.""The way they do the research and they keep their profile up to date is great. They identify vulnerabilities and update them immediately.""We are mostly using it for scanning the entire website. So, we basically create a script with the entire website and then run it for different injections."

Cons
"I would like the tool to integrate AI and automation that is dedicated to detecting software vulnerabilities."

More Digital.ai Application Security Cons →

"One thing that is not up to the mark in PortSwigger is web application testing. I found some issues with its performance and reporting. They should work on these and give us a better outcome.""The technical support team's response time is mostly delayed and should be improved.""There were a lot of false positives there, and we used to spend a lot of time, like, for security reasons, reproducing those bugs for the development team to fix it.""The one feature that I would like to see in Burp is active scanning of REST based web services. A lot of organizations are providing APIs to access their services to support different business models like SaaS. Scanning these APIs is still a challenge for many security product companies.""Mitigating the issues and low confluence issues needs some improvement. Implementing demand with the ChatGPT under the web solution is an additional feature I would like to see in the next release.""The biggest drawback is reporting. It's not so good. I can download them, but they're not so informative.""The Burp Collaborator needs improvement. There also needs to be improved integration.""PortSwigger Burp Suite Professional can improve by having more features in the free version for beginners to try."
