We performed a comparison between Dynatrace and TruView based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic and others in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability."In terms of AI, I love the base-lining Dynatrace provides us. It baselines the application over a seven-day period; we have it at the default of seven days. The artificial intelligence is so amazing because it can automatically track each transaction and their response times: how much CPU they use, how much memory, resources that they use. If there’s any deviation from that Dynatrace will tell me like right away. If there’s a deployment and the deployment has increased response time or is taking up CPU or has caused a memory leak, I can say, “Hey guys, you need to look at this, it’s this function on this page in this microservice, in this docker container. You need to go here, you need to fix it, it’s not going live.” It has just increased our productivity off the charts."
"Improved visibility on performance and application issues."
"The most valuable feature is the beautiful UI."
"It has helped us deliver better solutions to our end customers, and helps them in their digital transformation journey."
"Metrics for CPU, memory, network, and disk. It provides extensive end-user, application, and infrastructure platform and technology support, including mobile, web browser, Java, .NET, PHP, servers, networks, and mainframe."
"Simplified the way to monitor a medium to big environment."
"Using that telemetry from Dynatrace, we are able to pinpoint what our performance issues are so we can tune the system."
"Capability to troubleshoot isolated customer complaints with the user session feature."
"The most valuable feature for us was the ability to monitor sites and get a nice overview of all the data in a single view."
"The UX/UI needs improvement. It is not easy to learn."
"The user interface for the management functions is not particularly intuitive for even the most common features."
"We are still struggling a bit with finding an answer quickly."
"Dynatrace must reduce the required resources for on-premise, because they are too high."
"I would like to see dashboards included, and maybe more possibilities in terms of customization."
"The con of Dynatrace is that, at times, because it has so much information, it becomes difficult to see the root cause of your problem, and then you have to dig around to find the root cause."
"Cloud monitoring is insufficient. We would prefer Dynatrace to make more partnerships with major cloud applications like Salesforce, C4C, etc."
"On the side of the end user experience, I would suggest adding a new service for analyzing the backtrace of users."
"One area that could be improved is the reporting features. In the version transformation from ten to eleven, the platform changed from a Windows-based platform to a Linux-based platform. As a result, the previous reporting feature using Crystal Reports was no longer available. Instead, we had to generate PDF dashboard reports, which were not as flexible."
