Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"This is a stable solution at the end of the day.""The reporting is very useful because you can always view an entire list of the issues that you have.""You can easily download the tool's rule packs and update them."

More Fortify Software Security Center Pros →

"This solution is easy to use for everybody, including those who are not IT-educated.""The model-based scriptless automation is the most valuable feature because it needs less maintenance as compared to script-based automation.""Very user-friendly and the low code automation is really helpful.""We have multiple applications, and it supports parallel execution. It has mobile automation.""The most valuable features of Tricentis Tosca are the ease of use, you do not need to program if you do not want to.""The product enables codeless automation.""It is easy to maintain and easy to automate. No coding skills are required to automate. It is also easy in terms of transferring knowledge and skills. Many of my team members shifted over the past one and a half years, and there was no big issue with respect to knowledge sharing. It is a good tool that enables me to re-automate my scripts and update my scripts as quickly as possible. Looking at the amount of rework and maintenance activity that we had done for our scripts, it might have been a nightmare with some other scripting tool.""Image recognition: It has allowed us to automate a GUI section of our product which involves drawing different topologies."

Cons
"Fortify Software Security Center's setup is really painful.""We are having issues with false positives that need to be resolved.""This solution is difficult to implement, and it should be made more comfortable for the end-users."

More Fortify Software Security Center Cons →

"You need to spend much more time learning the tool and how to use it, compared to others.""Might have a learning curve, as it does not follow the traditional Record-Play functionality, but tests have to be built from requirements or Agile story cards.""In Tosca, I see that there are no user guides.""With regard to areas of improvement, report customization should be easier. It would be good if Tosca could provide standard reports for at least 20 variants. At present, there are only three to four variants. The mobile engine needs to be faster and easier to use; it is a bit cumbersome. Also, the object identification in the mobile engine needs improvement. I would like to see easy-to-use customizations for reports in the next release.""It is quite difficult to integrate the solution with other tools.""I would like to see better integration with other testing tools.""One thing to improve in Tricentis Tosca is that it's not compatible with Excel based forms. Another area for improvement is that the tool is not compatible with OpenText applications. The support and licensing cost for it also need improvement. The tool also needs cloud support, as it's currently on-premises only.""Tricentis Tosca could improve on the ease of use. There is a steep learning curve. The reporting section could be better and some of the new features could be simplified. Additionally, the user management of the client and the server are confusing. There should not be two."
