We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Good anti-malware and web filtering features.""It is easy to use. We chose this product for the possibility to have virtual domains (VDOMs). We are building another company in the group, and we would like to split the firewalling rules and policies between these two companies. Each company would be able to manage its own policies and security rules, which is an advantage of Fortinet FortiGate. We can define VDOMs, and every company can manage its own VDOM as if it has its own physical firewall, but in fact, we would be using the same physical appliance because we are also using the same internet lines. So, it allows us to reuse the existing resources without the disadvantage of having to compromise on policies and security. Each company can choose its own way of working.""Fortinet FortiGate is scalable for our users. Right now, we have almost 70 users. We do not have any plan to increase our usage of FortiGate. For maintaining the firewall solution, one staff member is enough.""The most valuable feature is the web filter.""The web tutor and automatic rules by schedule are good features.""We are using the FortiGate 100D series. VPN, firewall, anti-malware, OTM, and intrusion prevention are useful features.""I like Fortinet's cloud management. It allows me to manage all my devices in different branches for three cloud accounts. Even though I use on-prem devices, I can manage everything on the cloud.""We use a lot of function on the IPS and it works well for us."

"The solution's outcome is very high, and we often use it in a very high-traffic environment.""The most valuable feature of the GajShield Next Generation Firewall is the user-friendly settings, dashboards, and anti-threat protection. Additionally, the solution upgrades frequently which is good because we receive new features.""Gajshiled's enterprise cloud and DLP-level features give it an advantage over other products.""GajShield Next Generation Firewall's best feature is the network DLP.""It is an easily scalable solution...The initial setup was very easy.""GajShield has improved our mobile device-based connectivity.""It is a stable solution."

"Good user interface.""The VPN is excellent on the solution.""In some circumstances, the malware functionality is the most important feature, and in other cases, some other features.""The solution is easy to use.""There are plenty of features available, such as Full Guard and WAN.""It is a VPN that serves all your needs as an application firewall.""The product is worth the investment.""I like the SSL VPN connection. Cyberoam works well for controlling users and authenticating their connection to the internet."

Cons
"The user interface could be improved to make it less confusing and easier to set up.""Its customer service could be better.""Performance and technical support are the main issues with this solution.""Its reporting can be improved. Sometimes, I don't get proper reports.""The support we receive when we need to upgrade is not satisfactory and has room for improvement.""There is a lot of improvement needed with SSL-VPN.""The solution lacks sufficient filtering.""Fortinet doesn't provide multiple virtual firewalls which would facilitate end users and customers."

More Fortinet FortiGate Cons →

"GajShield Next Generation Firewall would be improved with the addition of a load-balancing feature.""Gajshield can improve SD-WAN compatibility at an enterprise cloud level.""Sometimes, we have to use SD-WAN support for the solution, which can be improved by adapting some features that will help our approach to network services.""We raised a support ticket, and the project didn't get a proper response. There was a skill issue in TAC support.""The firewall configuration and administration screens could use some improvement.""GajShield Next Generation Firewall could improve the flow of the settings. If somebody's using a Cisco firewall or any other brand and they want to use GajShield Next Generation Firewall the platform's UI is a bit different. If it was more similar to the others it would be better.""We face issues with some configuration parts that we don't understand in the solution, and sometimes we face issues with the VPN connection."

More GajShield Next Generation Firewall Cons →

"The product had a hang issue. We needed to reboot, recreate the image, and reconfigure the previous image because the product hanged frequently.""Its scalability is not that great.""There is a lot or room for improvement, because it is still not a fourth or fifth generation firewall. It lacks security features.""SD-WAN should be included in the tool.""The setup is a bit complex, so we needed help from a consultant.""I have problems with the email filtering. Emails pass through without any filtering affecting them. When I get back to them and tell them this is the issue, they check everything and say it is not in their database signature and they have to update it. But you know, by that time, my user has already opened it.""The reporting should be improved as well as the backup.""The product is at its end-of-life. There is nothing to improve as it will be discontinued."
