We performed a comparison between ManageEngine OpManager and Zabbix based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Network Monitoring Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."
"The alerting feature has improved our organization. We can create multiple alerts and refine them to how we need to use them."
"The setup was easy."
"The solution is scalable."
"We find the networking aspect of this solution to be the most valuable."
"The most valuable feature is the network-related reporting."
"The uptime and monitoring are valuable to us because we need to monitor the uptime of our services, the memory, and the CPUs."
"This is a good general monitoring system that has all the features we require and they constantly update with new capabilities."
"It helps us a lot for monitoring our servers in one console, instead of going to individual servers."
"It not only provides the preconfigured item monitoring feature, but it is also easy to configure custom items."
"We detect problems before the customer does and before it actually happens using the predictive functions in Zabbix."
"The solution is quite mature and very stable."
"The pricing of the product is reasonable."
"Zabbix has a roadmap and they are continuously and frequently adding new features."
"Every new asset placed in the environment can be automatically detected, predicting human failures."
"The template system in Zabbix is very beneficial as it saves time in configuration."
"The features I found most valuable are the user interface and a wide range of network devices that are easy to configure."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"This product is little bit slow sometimes. It may be that we need to change the configuration to improve performance."
"The integration with various OEM products could be simplified."
"What I'd like ManageEngine OpManager to improve on is artificial intelligence. In particular, the machine learning feature should be integrated with the sensor flow. Doing this will give leverage, especially when you look at other products such as the Cisco DNA Center. When a switch goes down, I should be able to build on the correlation of other physical devices it's connected to so that I can integrate that with my CA CMDB. The ManageEngine OpManager team needs to draw a long-term roadmap where that feature becomes an integral part of the solution because right now, machine learning in ManageEngine OpManager is a long process. The solution doesn't have MLS search and I want to see ML being developed and applied for CA CMDB to greatly reduce the burden of tying everything. For example, if I have a data center switch that goes down now, I should know what server it's connected to, and when that switch goes down at twenty-four ports, I would get twenty-four alerts for different devices plugged in. I should be able to make a correlation that the major problem lies in the switch and not with the twenty-four elements connected to that switch. That is where machine learning should come into play and the ManageEngine OpManager AI should indicate "This is where the root of your problem is." It could be difficult, but this is a feature that should be improved or added to the solution."
"The two views into the system are very good but could be extended to further customization to fit the need of end users in a variety of roles."
"We encounter challenges in monitoring cloud services. I would also appreciate it if there was someone available to walk you through the documentation."
"With regard to configurations, however, it would be nice to have more documentation on SNMP configurations. For example, if I want to add a new vendor, it would be great if ManageEngine provided the requirements for that vendor, such as the commands needed."
"The licensing model is confusing."
"The dashboard could include more features."
"The user interface could be a bit better. They could update it a bit."
"We had some scalability issues with a large number of nodes."
"The only improvement I would suggest, revolves around its AI and ML capabilities."
"The dashboard and the graph section could be a little bit more professional."
"Zabbix isn't very good at automation just yet."
"We would like to see the addition of automatic push functionality to this product. This would save time when monitoring our servers and networks as, at present, we have to manually install the Zabbix agent on any hardware to be monitored."
"The performance reporting could be improved."
"There's a small module of APM, however, it is not an enhanced version. People usually ask for a full-fledged APM solution."
