Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"It's an easy product to set up.""It is very rock solid. We hardly have any hardware issues.""The real-time troubleshooting and application segregation that you can do within it.""It helps us to assist our customers to isolate problems. If it is us who is having the problem, then we can use it to streamline the process.""When we have mobile operators who are signal partners, where one is the roaming host and another is the roamer, we are able to see their traffic. Their packets are able to detect if any faults to develop, and at what point they fail.""It allows us to get quicker resolutions. We can see exactly what is using up the bandwidth, so we can assist end users.""The ability to troubleshoot customers' connectivity has been very beneficial.""The most valuable features are speed and cost."

More NETSCOUT InfiniStreamNG Pros →

"With the Vprobes, we quickly identified issues on the application servers, which we normally couldn't, where it usually would be a full circle round between our NOC and server people.""The VoLTE model, call search and Media Monitor were essential when we launched VoLTE. We're relying heavily on them to troubleshoot our VoLTE calls.""It is a scalable product.""The fact that it's able to capture and store packets from the wires is very useful for troubleshooting with our vendors, when issues do come up. It's valuable that we have that overall data for them.""The packet capture is the most valuable feature for us. It gathers data from the device. In case somebody has a problem, I can go back X amount of time - days, hours - and get the data to do real troubleshooting.""The most valuable feature of NETSCOUT nGeniusONE is it helps customer to understand what risks are in their network. For example, if a customer has some wrong configurations. It could cost them some critical services to slow down.""The stability of this product is ok.""Deep packet inspection is probably the strongest feature."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The stability depends on who is using the tool, because you only can get as much out of the tool as you put into it. There are a lot of patches for this particular environment, so you have to keep on them. If you lose track of them, then the product is not useful anymore.""I'd like them to make the product more user-friendly.""The monitoring and reporting tool needs improvement. Users want more information, such as the level of detail when doing a packet analysis. They want more detail to be able to isolate down to a specific point.""We don't use the single pane of glass view, even though we own it.""The technology goes end-of-life on us every year, which is why I am looking forward to vSTREAM. I don't like when devices go end-of-life on us so quickly. If we can get more of an advanced notice of when an end-of-life is brought up, because our certification process within the organization takes a while.""Being able to manage the packet flow switches in nGeniusONE would be great.""The single pane of glass feed still needs work.""The scalability has some limitations and quirks to it. I would like to be able to upgrade rather than replace the whole thing."

More NETSCOUT InfiniStreamNG Cons →

"A lot of tools highlight what's going on but they don't actually pinpoint the user experience. It would be good if there were a small message or something highlighting what the user experience is like and any degradation that's actually occurring.""The single pane of glass view is a challenge. I like the graphics, they're easy to understand, but when more digging is required, it's more complicated to get what I'm expecting.""Its initial setup process is complicated.""We would like better end-to-end data flows. This is something that my users always complain about, as they don't know what the data flows are on the network. We would like to know every point along the line.""On a network the size of ours, the loading times seem a little extensive, 20 or 30 seconds to load up some graphs.""NG1 has been stable for a while in our environment - at least we have what we needed. But with nBA, there's a lot of room for improvement.""The product is a little complicated.""In previous versions, we used to have an icon on the dashboard when the situation analysis would present an alert. It would be nice if that would be made available on the dashboard again. Something that could be customizable to only illuminate on certain applications."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "To capture more with the solution that we bought, you have to buy another InfiniStreamNG, and there are only four ports in the back."
  • "The scalability is good, but it comes at a cost. E.g., if you need 100 InfiniStream because you are sending gigs or terabytes of data to one InfiniStream, then you will have to purchase another InfiniStream, which are not cheap."
  • "It can be scalable. It just costs too much. With a company as big as ours, it gets too expensive to accommodate every single site."
  • "This product could be cheaper."
  • "The price is a little high."
  • "I would like it to be more scalable with less spend."
  • More NETSCOUT InfiniStreamNG Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "If you are able and you are willing to use everything that Netscout provides to you, it's probably a relatively fair price. The problem is that it's such a large and such a complex tool that I'm not sure that many companies would be able to use it entirely, the way it's expected to be used."
  • "Like any company, we always want better pricing. The pricing is okay, but it's not a cheap solution. When you want to deploy it across an enterprise as large as ours, you go into seven figures. It's not a cheap solution to get out there."
  • "Their pricing is very competitive with other solutions... But what I like about NETSCOUT's licensing is that it's shared across all their platforms. They don't create a new licensing scheme for every one of their products. So for nGeniusONE, you buy a certain license level, and it works on all of their products."
  • "Cost is probably the biggest drawback. Compared to some of the newer vendors that have popped up in the space, it's definitely more on the expensive side... [But] it's been able to keep its value, even in the face of the cheaper competition."
  • "The biggest problem we have with this product is the expense."
  • "It can be expensive, but if you have a good configuration, based on what you are looking for, it's okay, it's manageable."
  • "It is very expensive, but it's well worth the money."
  • "It is a little overall pricey and expensive, but you get what you pay for."
