Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"RapidMiner is very easy to use.""The most valuable feature is what the product sets out to do, which is extracting information and data.""The GUI capabilities of the solution are excellent. Their Auto ML model provides for even non-coder data scientists to deploy a model.""The most valuable features are the Binary classification and Auto Model.""The best part of RapidMiner is efficiency.""Scalability is not really a concern with RapidMiner. It scales very well and can be used in global implementations.""What I like about RapidMiner is its all-in-one nature, which allows me to prepare, extract, transform, and load data within the same tool.""It is easy to use and has a huge community that I can rely on for help. Moreover, it is interactive."

"I like the way the product visually shows the data pipeline.""The most valuable feature is that you can use multiple algorithms for creating models and then you can compare the results between them.""I found the ease of use of the solution the most valuable. Additionally, other valuable features include: the user interface, power to extract data, compatibility with other technologies (specifically with PS400), and automation of several tasks.""The technical support is very good.""The solution is able to handle quite large amounts of data beautifully.""The setup is straightforward. Deployment doesn't take more than 30 minutes.""The solution is very good for data mining or any mining issues.""Most of the features, especially on the data analysis tool pack, are really good. The way they do clustering and output is great. You can do fairly elaborate outputs. The results, the ensembles, all of these, are fantastic."

Cons
"Many things in the interface look nice, but they aren't of much use to the operator. It already has lots of variables in there.""RapidMiner would be improved with the inclusion of more machine learning algorithms for generating time-series forecasting models.""The biggest problem, not from a platform process, but from an avoidance process, is when you work in a heavily regulated environment, like banking and finance. Whenever you make a decision or there is an output, you need to bill it as an avoidance to the investigator or to the bank audit team. If you made decisions within this machine learning model, you need to explain why you did so. It would better if you could explain your decision in terms of delivery. However, this is an issue with all ML platforms. Many companies are working heavily in this area to help figure out how to make it more explainable to the business team or the regulator.""I would like to see more integration capabilities.""The price of this solution should be improved.""If they could include video tutorials, people would find that quite helpful.""A great product but confusing in some way with regard to the user interface and integration with other tools.""In terms of the UI and SaaS, the user interface with KNIME is more appealing than RapidMiner."

More RapidMiner Cons →

"While I don't personally need tutorials, I can't say that it wouldn't be helpful for others to have some to help them navigate and operate the system.""The solution needs an easier interface for the user. The user experience isn't so easy for our clients.""Virtualization could be much better.""The solution is very stable, but we do have some problems with discrepancies involving SAS not matching with the latest Java versions. It's not stable in cases where SAS tries to run on a different version because SAS doesn't connect with the latest Java update. Once a month we need to restart systems from scratch.""The ease of use can be improved. When you are new it seems a bit complex.""The visualization of the models is not very attractive, so the graphics should be improved.""The initial setup is challenging if doing it for the first time.""The user interface of the solution needs improvement. It needs to be more visual."
