We initiated Spotfire as POC, with support from a tech team based in South Africa. While they assisted with the setup, we conducted the POC ourselves.""Spotfire is excellent for scientific applications, especially because of its integration with RNG.""The most valuable features of TIBCO Spotfire are visualization. Cons
"It still lacks a lot of functionalities as compared to other tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Sorting is not working as well as it works in Tableau. A lot of other things are also not at the same level. Their technical support is not perfect and could be better. It takes a lot of time to have lacking functionalities implemented. Its integration with the BW backend should be better. Both solutions are from the same vendor. They position SAP Analytics Cloud as a reporting tool on top of the BW environment, but the integration between both is not yet 100%. For example, user management is still not synchronized.""There is no direct connector from SAP to Redshift, so we are required to use a third-party product that was recommended by SAP.""They need more support for more languages, Python for example.""The business intelligence features should be improved because there is a lack of functionality regarding that part.""The scope is limited to a few accounts.""It's lacking a bit in maturity and we find we can't run our business off it until it's improved.""Could be more user-friendly; somewhat complicated to use.""I am not happy with the predictive analytics features and smart features offered by the product, making them areas where improvements are required."

"Compared to competitors, the UI is quite dated.""When you do the data loading, it is slow.""The Text Area feature needs to be more user-friendly. It is a little clunky to use, and it is difficult to consistently format text.""Print capability and trigger-based events.""The handling and consumption of realtime data could be improved.""We would like to see some improvement in the default properties of the solution, so that there is less need for us to spend our time coding.""The solution might be generic.""We would like an easier way to get the product to the cloud. Right now, we have the on-premise version, and we would like to find a way to make it easier to migrate it over to the cloud."
