In my opinion, the product is fairly priced. There is a need to make payments towards the licensing cause of the product on the basis of per application a user uses. Depending on the requirements, a user can make payments on a yearly, two-year, or three-year basis.

In Italy, we have a majority of small companies, around 95%. These are companies with 20 employees or fewer. The remaining 5% are what UK and USA define as medium companies, which can have up to 2,000 employees. For large companies and enterprise level, the pricing is right. For small companies, the price is very expensive because the WAF is an enterprise-level application, not intended for smaller businesses. In my opinion, the price is right for enterprise-level use. In Italy, the market is different; most companies are small, and the few larger companies with an enterprise approach tend to buy directly from companies like HP, F5, or others rather than through an engineering company like mine.
The Barracuda Web Application Firewall is quite expensive. The license is available on an annual or three-year term, with no monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual options. There is a bigger discount applied when a customer signs up for a three-year term.

The pricing depends on the customer. For example, if any customer is using Barracuda WAF and they are comparing it with the AWS WAF, AWS WAF is still a little bit more expensive than Barracuda WAF. And yet, Barracuda WAF has a lot of features that AWS doesn't have. Therefore, the pricing is quite good.
Overall, I would say that I'm satisfied with the pricing. It's got a good range of pricing, and the cost matches the quality level you get out of the solution.
Barracuda costs us $8,000 per year. Barracuda costs $20,000 for a full subscription, when you try to protect multi-site infrastructure, in different geographical zones and for different data centers. If you have only one site, Barracuda will be cheaper.

Our licensing fees are paid annually and the cost is between €600 and €800 (approximately $665.00 to $885.00 USD). It's a full-featured set and all of the capabilities are included. I am not aware of any additional costs.
