On a scale from one to ten, where one is low and ten is high, I rate the pricing a nine. The price is very high. My company has to pay extra apart from the licensing fees paid for the solution. The payments are made annually.
I think the price is generally competitive but sometimes you have to consider the exchange rate because it's an American product and you have to consider the exchange rate. The cloud version is more expensive.

Licensing costs for IBM Maximo are now more expensive relative to some of the cloud-based platforms that offer cheaper solutions and are more flexible in terms of fees. I believe it costs around 700 USD for one agent user on Maximo. In addition, we have to pay IBM's local partner in Pakistan some service charges and tax-related fees. There is also an annual cost for support services. We are constantly checking alternatives that offer better flexibility on the technical and cost side. We would switch to another solution if it could meet our needs at a lower cost.
The price of IBM Maximo could reduce, it is expensive. Upgrading is not covered in the annual support, it is an additional cost. I rate the price of IBM Maximo a four out of five.
IBM keeps its pricing confidential. The old list of pricing on all versions below Version 8 is extremely expensive.
However, an IBM resource or Business Partner can route a request for special pricing and justify a good opportunity to get approved for a competitive rate. The new MAS - Maximo Application Suite (v8) will follow a different pricing model and is being positioned as an improvement on licensing structure compared to its predecessor.
Implementation and support services for Maximo depends on:
*Complexity of the implementation - a measure of difficulty for a tailor-fit implementation of Maximo based on an improved version of the client's business processes. This also covers all integration requirements for third-party systems such as ERP, DCS, CO, etc.
*Project Timeline and Activities - estimated duration and the activities for the project delivery.

The on-premise license does not need to be renewed, only the EMC, which is 5-8% on the contract value.
I do not know about the price of the solution. However, this has been an expensive project overall.
