Barracuda Email Protection currently only works with Microsoft 365. It would be cool to see a more inclusive vendor approach where they should include Google Suite and other vendors like Amazon, for example. You also need complete admin access within your Microsoft 365 account to deploy Barracuda completely, so when you deploy the solution for a customer, it could be hard to transfer those rights from being an end user to a reseller. That's something they could improve.
In terms of improvement, the main issue is the price increase every quarter, which makes it expensive and less favored. That's why people are looking for a new product. In future releases, there are many things to add because they have a fixed policy to send out emails. Moreover, there is less visibility on the algorithm. The policies are set up in Barracuda by default; we don't have any control over them. If there is a more flexible policy available, it would be more helpful. And the event tracking, delivery reports, and customized reporting. Those are not that good enough.
The email encryption could be improved. I would like to see some additional functionality in terms of employee monitoring, as part of a work-from-home security solution. It would make the protection and capability more comprehensive.
