The solution's logging could be improved. I have worked with other pure Linux-based products that help capture the traffic. Compared to those products, Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection lags occasionally.

Infoblox lacks an extensive product portfolio. If we go for an additional solution, scaling up and meeting a customer's requirements becomes difficult. In general, I would like a bigger product portfolio and would like to have a cloud version of the solution fit the needs of our clients and scale up.
Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection could be more user-friendly because you need knowledge if you want to use it. To handle the solution, you need to be a subject matter expert, so I'd consider this one area for improvement in Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection. What I want to see from the solution in its next release is a certification program that benefits people who buy it, for example, giving certifications that focus on DNS, mainly as Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is used across the globe.

The service monitoring information could be simplified of this appliance and the information displayed on the dashboards could be improved. I have not found one dashboard to be perfect. For example, in Splunk, I can create a dashboard in Grafana. However, in Grafana, it takes a very long time to create them. There should be another API to do it better.

Occasionally the CPU goes up. However, this is normal for all products, so I'm not sure if it is something that can be fixed. Occasionally the capacity is not as expected, especially when the system is under a certain type of attack. There should be better alerts for when attacks are happening. I'm not sure if this is already possible or not, but the solution should work to integrate with extension servers or state intelligence servers. Users should be able to see portions of the ICS more easily. That way, we wouldn't have to rely on other systems and this solution would be more of an all-in-one option for companies like ours.

The solution needs to offer more integration with other programs, like the Cisco API. Many customers require some features from Cisco API. I don't have enough documentation yet regarding the integration with Infoblox and Cisco so I don't know enough about how to integrate the two. There needs to be more readily available documentation. There needs to be more capabilities in order to configure the console itself instead of the user interface dashboard. Configuring the DNS or DHCP through the console instead of the GUI dashboard would be better. Right now, there's a limitation on the CLI. In some cases, sometimes I need to use the console instead of the user interface. This isn't possible yet, however, I am hopeful it is part of their roadmap going forward.

I'm a manager, so I'm not someone who's working closely with the solution. It's also in the deployment phase, so we haven't spent enough time with the solution to really judge what is missing or not.
DNS security is crucial for protecting the internet's DNS infrastructure from cyberattacks. Since attackers frequently target DNS, DNS security tools play a vital role in safeguarding against threats such as malware, phishing, and denial-of-service attacks.

The price could be reduced to improve the solution.
They should improve the solution's pricing. Also, they should release frequent updates for its on-premises version.
