It helps to capture any network issues.""I like the visibility.""The most valuable features I have found are typology, visualization, and capture.""The most valuable feature of Azure Network Watcher is the cloud-native application firewall. It is helpful for securing databases.""It provides good visibility.""What I like most about Azure Network Watcher is that it's focused more on the architecture. I also like that it has a packet capture feature that tells you how the packet travels and whether it's exiting Azure, etc."

"I like the mobility of the PRTG Network Monitor and ITOps Dashboard.""The initial setup was easy. We didn't have any issues with the process and everything rolled out smoothly.""I really love the activity library. It gives the flexibility to discover data and metrics about my interface and data server.""PRTG is simple to manage. First, you can create a template for a device, then apply it to hundreds of similar devices. That's a great advantage.""The Slack integration is fantastic, and I've actually found it to be very useful recently.""We can see which fiber links have been used heavily and, if they are used heavily, we can introduce more links to particular buildings or particular areas.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""Stable and scalable network monitoring tool. Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The initial setup and initial learning curve could be improved to be easier.""Azure Network Watcher needs to have better documentation and it needs to capture information accurately.""Azure Network Watcher could improve by having other built-in applications. For example, an application to log activities for in and outbound traffic.""The initial setup and deployment could be improved to be simplified.""Azure is good, however, the Fortinet GUI is more intuitive and I like it more than anything else.""I would like to see in the future if we can troubleshoot as a firewall because it is equipment as a network player and some diagnostics.""The solution could improve by limiting the need to clarify the logs. When the clarification is minimized, it is better for everyone involved.""Lacks sufficient security features."

More Azure Network Watcher Cons →

"I am not sure the solution is giving me all the needed feedback that we need. When something goes off on our IT infrastructure, it does tell me. However, it would be nice if it gave more intuitive information, e.g., the hard drive has gone up by 60 percent in an hour.""When using PRTG Network Monitor it is beneficial if you have prior experience with it, the user interface could improve.""I know we're going to move to Docker applications and I understand that PRTG does some monitoring regarding this. I do not know if it is complete. If it's not yet complete, it's something they should consider improving.""I would like to see Office 365 monitoring. Essentially, it doesn't do it. I assumed not at all, but apparently it does it slightly. However, due to issues with APIs, they currently don't provide full monitoring for O365.""The only sort of limitation is the actual probes. So, if you don't have enough probes on there, you can over flip them and cause the WMI sensors and SNMP sensors to sort of overload. Sometimes, they might timeout for a minute, but they do come back.""PRTG Network Monitor can improve by adding prevention and detection features.""The icons on PRTG's network diagram are hard to find. For example, finding the icons for firewalls and servers is difficult, so we're struggling to create the network topology.""Having a Unix implementation or Unix installation could be an improvement. Right now, it's based just on Windows, and that's a problem for some customers."

I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want using these, but they require quite some expertise before you can use them. Then there are the ones that are not open source, the enterprise softwares and cost you some money, but on the other hand, they are extremely easy to set-up and learn. You can have them up and running in a matter of minutes. And then there are those which are completely cloud based. They can be free of cost or charge some money depending on the software. The good thing about these is that you don’t have to install any extra software, and it can be managed completely online but then again these have limited features and you cannot exploit them to the full extent as you can do with the open-source and to some extent the enterprise software, so I won’t suggest you to use these, because these are generally not the complete solutions and require other support software to achieve the same. Below I have listed the outstanding pros and cons of the various Network analyzers that you can look into Nagios Pros: Nagios offers an extensive set of collector plug-ins that allows users to gather performance and availability data from a broad range of operating systems, including  Windows and Netware Nagios… Read more →
