We performed a comparison between Dynatrace and Oracle Enterprise Manager based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic and others in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability."Dynatrace is a powerful tool for full stack monitoring with APM capabilities and AI root cause problem analysis. This helps our customers with their digital transformation and gaining insight into their infrastructure."
"Dynatrace has an auto-baseline and uses AI to monitor the performance of each API. The response time is related to the baseline."
"In general, it has helped me go through different logs more easily when something breaks."
"It has helped us improve the performance of many of our applications."
"The main benefit is being able to pinpoint problems."
"It has improved our critical incident response, exposing critical issues impacting the environment and our ability to respond to those events prior to client impact as well as resolving those events more quickly. We have use cases where we have studied a 70 percent improvement for response times in an occurring event as well as future reoccurrences being improved."
"They have a feature that allows you to monitor the user, and we are able to create a VIP customer."
"We are now able to identify the root cause in 15 minutes. It has helped the entire operations of our company."
"It is a good tool for monitoring databases."
"I like that it's stable."
"I rate Oracle Enterprise Manager eight out of 10 for stability."
"The product gives us as much control as we can have by providing a complete picture of the whole set of Oracle products."
"It is the best database management system."
"I have found the singular GUI feature very helpful. Fewer DBA resources can be allocated with Toad licenses."
"The single-pane and single interface in the centralized system is the most valuable feature."
"Due to the infrastructure's size, the introduction they offer is very, very useful. It helps with an overall understanding of the product."
"An additional feature that we could use is the rollover. If we could rollover to different datacenters, then it would satisfy our requirement. I.e., if one datacenter fails, then we could rollover to another datacenter."
"More integrations could prove very beneficial to us."
"The new Dynatrace solution lacks test-automation integration inside the CI pipeline. I hope that will arrive soon."
"Some of the analytics that you get in, e.g., a waterfall analysis of a web page could be clearer. A lot of that is not directly attributable to Dynatrace. Sometimes a vendor will implement a tag or JavaScript plugin that's named something entirely different than what it does. This makes it difficult to track that from the waterfall list, figure out where exactly that component is, and dig more into what it's doing. Dynatrace could probably improve a bit on that waterfall layout to make it clearer as to what exactly is there. It does a wonderful job of telling you what loads and when, but it could be improved in terms of telling me what exactly it is loading."
"The configuration of this solution is quite complex."
"The integration of the tools is getting there. It is still not there yet, because we still have to get a lot of tools to put together."
"Provide much better alignment between AppMon and Dynatrace."
"What needs improvement in Dynatrace is its dashboard. Creating dashboards in Dynatrace is good, but compared to Grafana, which is integrated with Broadcom DX APM, the resulting dashboard in Dynatrace isn't as clear. The Dynatrace dashboard needs to be more graphic."
"I would say mostly backup and recovery, through the Enterprise Manager. Or any corruptions, to be able to fix them through Enterprise Manager."
"We would like to have a single dashboard for monitoring and controlling all of our products."
"My opinion is that this solution needs to improve consolidation. That is what our business needs the most right now."
"The tool is expensive."
"Improving the integration speed would be beneficial, as the current Java-based system can sometimes result in slow responses."
"The user interface is not very interactive. It needs improvement."
"It needs to support the Database versions lower than 10.2."
"Oracle Enterprise Manager could improve the monitoring types and the graphics."
