We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is simple.""Google Apps for Business and Skype for Business are the perfect solutions for every business thriving online. It is very easy and inexpensive to get work done with these applications online.""It's easy to use.""If I'm addressing certain emails from banks — automatic emails, like OTP, etc. — I can create rules and forward that OTP to the specific email IDs. You can create rules and deliver mail to different groups using the forwarding feature. It's handy.""From a security point of view, Google will alert you if anything strange is happening. They will flag it for you so you are aware.""Google Workspace is an excellent tool for communicating with people, which allows users to collaborate and edit files simultaneously.""The solution offers a workflow where we can collaborate and share documents. Its most valuable features are Gmail and Google Drive. Google Drive is great for file collaboration. It improves productivity. The product is on the cloud; we don't have to connect to the office through a VPN.""G Suite and all of Google were the first to have a built-in multifactor authentication without needing to purchase another product."

"The most valuable features of Microsoft Exchange Online are the frequent updates. They upgrade and optimize the features to make them better and better. They have a very strong ecosystem and they integrate together.""Exchange Online is a straightforward cloud-based application. It's easy to connect and the interface is user friendly.""The initial setup was straightforward.""Microsoft Exchange Online's resiliency is its most valuable feature.""When you used to write to someone, you would often begin typing their name and their email address would appear; you would simply click and you would have the correct email address. That has been working for a while, but having the location address appear was a pleasant surprise. It was amazing.""Exchange Online's performance and stability are very good.""It's easy to use and there is more integration.""Microsoft Exchange Online is a very stable solution."

Cons
"We need more functionality with Google Sheets""I don't recommend Google Workspace to others. It's expensive. Also, Google doesn't have enough oversight on their partners, so you will face some difficulties dealing with them instead of directly with Google.""G-Suite is excellent for what we're trying to do, but it could use some extra features. For example, it would be helpful if we had a seamless way to convert Excel macros to Google Sheets.""I talked with G Suite recently because my G Suite has a temporary block. I communicated with the G Suite representative or Google representative, and he told me that I sent a lot of emails, so my email was temporarily blocked. But I know I have not sent more than 500 emails daily to reach the limit. I sent only 5,200 emails, but unfortunately, my G Suite account was temporarily blocked for 24 hours, and then he resolved it. I think they need to improve G Suite because this temporary block is not fair.""There are 120 different products and Google is ready to copy their competitors and vice versa. Some of them work, and some of them don't. There are many newer tools with no-code environments which allow for a leaner self-owned system, where I'm not tied to paying hundreds and thousands of dollars a year to another company.""What needs improvement in Google Workspace is the Google Drive app, in particular, making the process of finding the shared and most used files and folders easier. The first time you get an invite to view a file or folder in Google Drive and you view that folder or file, it's pretty easy, but the next time you try to access it again, sometimes, it's a bit difficult to find what was shared with you. An additional feature I'd like to see in Google Workspace is the option to un-send messages in Gmail. Microsoft has a message recall feature, and this isn't available in Gmail, so it's the feature I'd like to be added to Gmail.""Not all tools are available in the one facility.""The cost could be improved. It can sometimes be a bit confusing figuring out how we are actually being charged."

More Google Workspace Cons →

"We'd like to have the ability to recall emails on the web. I'm not sure if that is available yet.""The price could be an area of concern for many.""It is tricky to integrate Microsoft Exchange Online if you are in an infrastructure provided by other vendors.""When you migrate from on-prem to cloud, if you choose to or are forced to do the hybrid, they need to devise a way to undo the hybrid.""Migration can be an issue if you do not have a good audit process.""The licensing price of the solution could be lower.""What I don't like about Microsoft Exchange Online is too much integration because now it has many services connected to it. In the beginning, it was just email, and now it's also Teams and Visio, and many other services which I don't like. Microsoft Exchange Online should focus on one service. The product now lost focus, and this is its area for improvement. I would also like more freedom in choosing to use just one service, for example, just Microsoft Exchange Online, which means I don't need Teams or any other Microsoft product or service there. Right now, all services are either in the Microsoft Office suite, or there are more products or services integrated with Microsoft Exchange Online, and I'd like to just focus on one.""The solution's performance can be improved when you are trying to access it remotely."
