We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Scalability is fine. It is pretty nice.""The standout features of SAP Intelligent RPA are its flexibility and integration capabilities.""The most valuable feature of SAP Contextor is that everyone is in one place in the program that I need.""The initial setup of SAP Contextor is easy.""Contextor is a good solution for a Citrix environment. It's the first with this tool. Other tools provide the same functionality, but not with the Citrix environment.""It is remarkably easy to configure and code, and it doesn't require an extensive technical background or coding expertise.""Most of the details are already in the help portal and SAP notes are available. It is well documented as part of the product support."

"The cloud deployment option is particularly attractive to some customers for its flexibility and scalability, along with customary thin client advantages.""UiPath is user-friendly, meaning even without coding knowledge, we only need basic logic understanding.""Designing a chatbot would usually require some language coding and it would have to be deployed with certain front-end languages. But UiPath gives us the ability to automate this functionality with drag-and-drop features. That is the very best part, where UiPath is doing an amazing job.""It is a single point of truth. There is no discrepancy or ambiguity. We can go to the leadership team, and say, "This is what it saves us on costs, man-hours, and effort that we used to do manually versus what we are doing now using the bots."""It has mainly taken the load off of employees. We had a huge amount of tasks which weren't being done. It provides our employees time to do their other work, since we automated very manual things.""UiPath Action Center is very valuable.""It has reduced human error because there would be some different document types. It's able to detect multiple types versus a user finding one document type when there could be multiple document types that are associated with a letter, while the user is browsing over it that can be missed in the second document type. But when you're looking at machine learning and at the text, it'll be able to easily pick out those keywords from a document that has multiple document types.""We are using the RE framework and it's very helpful for delivering the product on time."

Cons
"The initial setup is of medium complexity. It is neither too hard nor too simple. You need some background in SAP and an understanding of it.""One way SAP Intelligent RPA could improve is by integrating built-in DI services for document processing.""For potential features or improvements, one aspect I would suggest enhancing is the flexibility of the extraction process.""I found that the SAP scripting of a program is easier than SAP Contextor.""SAP Contextor could improve by automating some processes.""There should be more of an error, like a proper error feature, in future releases. Sometimes, we don't understand why that automation is not learning what, like, where it is stuck, or what is the reason like, or what is the criteria we are missing to add. So a proper error message would be helpful.""I would like to see a better capacity for unstructured data, for example, PDF, or text within images."

More SAP Intelligent RPA Cons →

"We are doing automation to take care of all our processes, but we still need support people 24/7 to monitor these jobs. So, human intervention is still there. We have two people monitoring these automations 24/7 because there are still some challenges with the automation.""I would like UiPath to improve its screenshot feature. It should have the option not to take screenshots unless the user specifically allows it. Sometimes, it is a security issue for companies that do not want to share screenshots of the main application. Another thing I want to see is a standalone mobile application that we can run anywhere. I would like more cross-platform application support.""We have had issues with Ingram Micro. It happened that we ordered licenses and we received something else. It takes a relatively long time, two and sometimes even three weeks, after the order until we receive licenses, and clients are sometimes a little bit impatient. This is something that should be accelerated.""One thing I don't like about UiPath is that it does not have a very good user interface for a newbie. It's not that the user interface itself is bad, but when I started using it, it was very difficult for me to understand the tool and how to use it... The user interface should be a little simpler than it is right now, as it is very complex.""Templates had to be created for different formats.""It lacks something crucial, which is a map of the variables and arguments. When we are using a lot of variables and arguments, sometimes, we get lost. UiPath should create a map that connects different files and shows the connections between them.""The stability is not that good yet for whatever reasons. We have a lot of safety critical things that have to be 99.999% availability, so we're struggling a little bit.""If there was a little more flexibility with the selectors, and they were a little bit more adaptive, I think it would be helpful."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "This is not a tool or software with a license as others are. The SaaS model is based on the usage of the tool."
  • "The initial cost might seem higher, but over time, with continued use over five or ten years, the cost tends to decrease, making it a more economical choice."
  • "The pricing is not that expensive. It is manageable."
  • "It all comes with a bundle right now. Having advanced features, it is competitively priced."
  • More SAP Intelligent RPA Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It costs much less and it does much more than the competitors' solutions."
  • "The pricing differs on the requirements. If there is a huge purchase, then we get a discount. There is not a fixed pricing of the product."
  • "If you want to do a demo trial, it is a 30 days free."
  • "The community edition is completely free. Then, people say, "There is nothing to lose, let me try it.""
  • "There are operational benefits in terms of time savings and user satisfaction of not having to do menial, repetitive tasks."
  • "Traditionally, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are the biggest things competing against UiPath. Those are usually what most of the clients lean towards, if they see a cheaper licensing option. Clients choose UiPath because it's easier to deploy and learn within their teams."
  • "We saw ROI in 15 days."
  • "They give it away in the community edition for free, so I use it at home."
