We performed a comparison between AlgoSec and RedSeal based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about AlgoSec, Tufin, Palo Alto Networks and others in Firewall Security Management."If you go through that compliance report, it will give you whether your firewall is in compliance or not. It will also give you a recommendation whether you need to change it. The compliance has helped us with customers, e.g., internal audit from the quality team and external auditors."
"Reporting helps us with deliverables, areas of focus for improvement, and much more."
"I like that the firewall will analyze the tools within the risk profiles and the policy optimizations within the AFA. This can also be used to create reports for the customer with the risk profiles to optimize the firewall rules."
"There are some legacy customers still using AlgoSec. The benefit is the ease in management of firewalls and rules."
"The most valuable features are the network map, risk analysis, and tickets for firewall changes."
"Users utilize this tool to make their change requests."
"It assists in provisioning the application rapidly, which increases the organization's revenue."
"Audit-ready reporting is an awesome feature."
"This is the only solution in the world that gives you a digital resilience score."
"The most valuable features are network mapping and configuration."
"RedSeal integrates the network and gives us a visual or graphical overview of our network. If an organization is geographically dispersed, for instance, with one office in Canada and one office in the Philippines, the whole network, including all devices, is integrated into RedSeal, and you can see from where the traffic is going in and out."
"It would be easier if the network maps could be updated using the GUI portal instead of from the OS."
"Algosec does not support vendors like Sophos, SonicWall, Forecepoint, and so on."
"I would like to see Bi-Directional API support in order to integrate with SOAR platforms that provide SOC automation and IRR."
"ABF is not very mature compare to AFA and AFF, but the module and concepts are quite good. I would suggest more concentration on ABF, especially on object and application permissions."
"Needs better technical support and quicker response times."
"Introducing greater flexibility in editing alerts would be a highly appreciated improvement."
"To be more specific, when we tried to add some devices on AlgoSec it seemed to be done but when you checked the monitor section, some device was always red. Finally, we could handle this part by installing a new software fix but AlgoSec support was weak when we tried to handle this process."
"have also heard a few qualms about the technical support and that it could be improved. However, this doesn't detract from the value the tool brings to our business."
"Sometimes, it required us to refresh the configuration. When we integrated any of the configurations into the device, sometimes, it could not detect the exact picture of that device. So, we had to reset the device to see that if it was giving true-positive results or false-positive results. In some cases, we were not able to get true-positive results. There was some kind of bug in that version. Its interface is not user-friendly and needs to be improved. It takes time to understand the interface and various options. Skybox has quite a user-friendly interface. They could provide a feature for compliance audit policy if it is already not there. A compliance audit policy ensures that all configurations are based on the best practices standards, such as CIS benchmarks standard or other similar standards. It provides visibility about whether your device configuration is based on best practices or not. Usually, such a feature is provided by other solutions such as Meteor or Tenable Nessus."
"One of the areas of concern is the GUI. It is important to our customers that the GUI looks beautiful. It's a Java Client, so you have a Java dependency."
"The dashboard should be improved to make correlating data easier to do."
