Comparison Results: Amazon AWS and SAP Cloud Platform have a similar user rating based on ease of deployment and service and support. However, in terms of cost, Amazon AWS outperforms SAP Cloud Platform. Based on features, users felt Amazon AWS was an overall great solution but needed better data management. In contrast, users of SAP Cloud Platform felt the software had good data synchronization but was still a young product.
"Setting up AWS was pretty easy. It was straightforward to set up, and it took us a year to develop and migrate our mobile banking solution to the AWS cloud. Our migration experience was quite positive."
"Elasticity has always been AWS's mandate. The flexibility of their platform from a systems perspective lives up to its claims."
"This solution features ease of use and market adaptability."
"The scalability of the product is the solution's most valuable feature."
"I like many features, like the recently released useful analytics features. There are many from the data analytics or database side."
"With the pay-as-you-go model, we don't have to predict future IT needs. We can just scale up as we want. That helps with a lot of agility in deploying stuff in our IT infrastructure."
"Works very quickly and is well managed."
"It scales well and is flexible."
"I found flexibility most valuable in the SAP Cloud Platform. It's a simple tool that's good even for first-time users."
"The ability to build custom applications on the BTP platform, reducing customization on the SAP HANA system and improving performance and management."
"It's suitable for various sizes of companies. I have used it with big companies and with small ones as well."
"One of the best features of this solution is that it is web-based and you can log in and work on it from anywhere."
"Cloud Platform's stability is great."
"One of the most valuable features I have found is that the solution is secure."
"The solution is very useful and interactive with a dashboard for viewing other interfaces."
"The solution is scalable."
"Its subscription model or pricing model is too complex, which should be improved."
"Its interface could be better because there are so many services right now in the product that it is quite difficult to navigate around in this. Its interface could be a subject of improvement."
"They do not yet have a complete solution for APM monitoring. But this, along with real user monitoring, is something that they are actively working on improving."
"IAM only gives you one chance to capture your key."
"This solution could be improved by a better licensing model, especially for third-party software. Amazon AWS could also potentially be improved by more free storage, but I think that it's okay when compared to competitors' products."
"Monitoring still needs to be improved."
"Amazon still has room for improvement in terms of being more mature on the monitoring side and in terms of the native capabilities. Amazon should get their services portfolio stronger on OEM-based workloads such as Microsoft and Oracle. There are a lot of areas that still do not have offerings, so there is room to grow. I would be happy if they bring more maturity to the monitoring capabilities and SaaS offerings. They are strong on Infrastructure as a Service, but they are not mature on SaaS."
"The interface is relatively complex."
"I can’t speak to features that may be missing."
"I feel that SAP provides the tools, but after that, you are left on your own. It would be better if they provided more support throughout the usage of their solutions."
"The product's price is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"I want to see better pricing from the SAP Cloud Platform in the future. I also want more security and scalability from it."
"The main problem is that there aren't any easy migrations from SAP PO to SAP CPI, so from process orchestration to cloud platform integration."
"The price of the solution could improve."
"The product could be improved for consistent user interfaces."
"They are still developing this product. It does not really have 100% of the necessary features available to properly service business clients"
