We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of AWS Security Hub is the ability to track when monitoring is not enabled on any of my resources.""I really like the seamless integration with the AWS account structure. It can even be made mandatory as part of the landing zone. These are great features. And there's a single pane of glass for the entire account.""I find all of the features to be highly valuable.""I like that AWS Security Hub currently has several good features, around four or five. The technical support for AWS Security Hub is also responsive.""Finding out if your infrastructure is secure is a valuable feature.""The solution shows us our compliance score.""The best feature of AWS Security Hub is that you can get compliance or your cloud's current security posture.""The platform has valuable features for security."

"Cloud Native Security helps us discover vulnerabilities in a cloud environment like open ports that allow people to attack our environment. If someone unintentionally opens a port, we are exposed. Cloud Native Security alerts us so we can remediate the problem. We can also automate it so that Cloud Native Security will fix it.""It is very straightforward. It is not complicated. For the information that it provides, it does a pretty good job.""Cloud Native Security offers attack path analysis.""It is scalable, stable, and can detect any threat on a machine. It uses artificial intelligence and can lock down any virus.""It is advantageous in terms of time-saving and cost reduction.""It saves time, makes your environment more secure, and improves compliance. PingSafe helps with audits, ensuring that you are following best practices for cloud security. You don't need to be an expert to use it and improve your security.""Cloud Native Security offers a valuable tool called an offensive search engine.""I like CSPM the most. It captures a lot of alerts within a short period of time. When an alert gets triggered on the cloud, it throws an alert within half an hour, which is very reasonable. It is a plus point for us."

Cons
"It is not flexible for multi-cloud environments.""Adding SIEM features would be beneficial because of the limited customization of AWS Security Hub.""AWS Security Hub should improve the time it takes to update. It takes a long period of time when updating. It can take 24 hours sometimes to update. Additionally, when integrating this solution with more security tools, takes time.""The user interface, graphs, and dashboards of the solution could improve in the future. They are not very sophisticated and could use an update.""Security needs to be measured based on their own criteria. We can't add custom criteria specific to our organization. For example, having an S3 bucket publicly available might be flagged as a critical alert, but it might not be critical in a sandbox environment. So, it gets flagged as critical, which becomes a false positive. So, customization options and creating custom dashboards would be areas for improvement.""AWS Security Hub's configuration and integration are areas where it lacks and needs to improve.""The solution will only give you insight if you have configure rule enabled. It should work more like Prisma Cloud and Dome9 which have a better approach.""The solution lacks self-sufficiency."

More AWS Security Hub Cons →

"They could generally give us better comprehensive rules.""It took us a while to configure the software to work well in this type of environment, as the support documents were not always clear.""One area for improvement could be the internal analysis process, specifically the guidance provided for remediation.""It does not bring much threat intel from the outside world. All it does is scan. If it can also correlate things, it will be better.""We've found a lot of false positives.""We wanted it to provide us with something like Claroty Hub in AWS for lateral movement. For example, if an EC2 instance or a virtual machine is compromised in a public subnet based on a particular vulnerability, such as Log4j, we want it to not be able to reach some of our databases. This kind of feature is not supported in PingSafe.""The Kubernetes scanning on the Oracle Cloud needs to be improved. It's on the roadmap. AWS has this capability, but it's unavailable for Oracle Cloud.""Cloud Native Security's reporting could be better. We are unable to see which images are impacted. Several thousand images have been deployed, so if we can see some application-specific information in the dashboard, we can directly send that report to the team that owns the application. We'd also like the option to download the report from the portal instead of waiting for the report to be sent to our email."
